Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 470

Just a second ago, Nadine felt grateful to Brad. But now, she wanted to tear that annoyingly handsome face of his apart.

Brad was a real mood killer. All the gratitude she felt for him was completely gone.noveldrama

"Fine," she said curtly, sniffing. "Take off your coat. I'll dry-clean it and return it to you."

Nadine wasn't sure if it was the bickering or because she had seen such a nasty side of him, but the sadness that had consumed her moments before was now replaced by a fierce determination. All that was left was a burning desire to beat him at his own game.

Brad was relieved to see that she wasn't crying anymore and was now fired up to argue with him. He glanced at her and asked, his tone dripping with sarcasm, "Is that all? What about the favor you owe me?"

After leaving Jean's hospital room and realizing she'd been scheming against him, he wanted nothing to do with her. And when he saw Nadine, he found himself wanting to get closer to her.

It had been more than two months since they'd been intimate, and he'd been holding back that whole time. He'd been craving her for a while now, but she had been avoiding him.

She'd also made it clear that she wasn't afraid to castrate him, so he was hesitant to force himself on her, fearing she might actually follow through.

If this had been before Jean returned, Nadine would've wrapped her arms around Brad's neck and given him a deep, lingering kiss. But now, with Jean in the picture and thoughts of Jack filling her mind, she no longer felt that urge.

Nadine wiped away the last of her tears and stepped back, looking at him with a solemn expression. "I didn't ask you to comfort me, you did that on your own. How's that my problem? Since when do I owe you a favor?"

Truth be told, she was shaken when Brad held her and tried to comfort her earlier. Even though she had already decided to divorce him and cut ties for good, a part of her still felt something when he held her.

With the divorce looming, she knew she shouldn't be having these kinds of emotions, and she definitely shouldn't be having any more physical contact with him. Hence, she dug into her heels. She wasn't going to admit she owed him anything. After all, she hadn't asked

him to comfort her!

Brad's temper flared when he noticed she was already trying to distance herself from him when her face was still marked with tears. Gritting his teeth, he glared at her.

"Nadine Scott, are you seriously going to pull your panties up and pretend as if nothing happened? In the end, you're just a heartless player, aren't you?"

He'd learned the term "heartless player" from Alex, who had a reputation for dating women of all ages. To avoid complications, he proudly called himself a heartless player, a title he thought suited him perfectly.

Nadine was momentarily caught off guard. It seemed out of character for him to use such a term. But she didn't have time to dwell on it because he was already reaching for her.

Nadine dodged his touch and bolted. "Don't give me that crap, Brad! I'm not falling for your tricks! I've learned my lesson.

"Dating men brings a year's worth of bad luck, spending money on them triples that to three years, while caring about them brings a lifetime supply, and sympathizing with them brings three lifetimes of misfortune!"
