No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 264

"I know, I've got other methods."

Noelle understood Xenia and the Liddells extremely well. She had many ways to deal with them. In the past, she used to think that the Liddells were suffocating and did everything trying to leave. However, she wouldn't run away anymore.

Cedric studied her. Sometimes, he thought that she seemed wise beyond her years. There seemed to be an old soul behind her eyes.

After a short chat, Noelle stood up and said, "I'll go fill in my discharge forms and go back to school. I'll come back to visit you."

"There's no need for that. I'll be discharged soon. Don't worry about me."

Thankfully, his car had been modified. If not, Cedric would've died in that accident. He wouldn't give up on taking legal action for this.noveldrama

Although they didn't have evidence, he had other alternatives as to how to deal with the Merlocks.

However, he didn't plan to tell Noelle about this for fear of dragging her into this.

Noelle left the ICU and ran into the gorgeous woman from yesterday. It was Laura.

They were stunned. Laura spoke first. "We meet again. Are you here to see Cedric?"

"Yeah. Are you here to see him too?"

Noelle studied the stunning lady before her and couldn't help but guess at her relationship with Cedric. Were they friends?

Laura smiled. "Yeah, Emma asked me to bring some food over. Let's meet up for lunch after he's discharged."

Noelle smiled awkwardly. She turned back and watched her sashay away, feeling as though she was on an emotional rollercoaster.

What was his relationship with her?

Noelle paused. Was she going to turn back and take a look?

In the end, she couldn't muster up the courage to do so and took the elevator back to her room.

She didn't know how to treat Cedric. Her thoughts were a mess.

A nurse walked over and said, "Ms. Liddell, your discharge procedures are done." "Got it. Thanks."

Before Noelle left, she texted Cedric, "I'll take my leave now. Get some rest."

After receiving her text, he replied, "I'll give you some cream for the wound on your forehead. It works like a charm."

"Cedric, are you listening to what I'm saying?"

Laura eyed Cedric carefully and noticed how warmly he was smiling at his phone.

Who had texted him?

When he looked up, the warm expression was gone. "I'll talk to my mom myself. I don't need you to be a middleman."

"Cedric, do you have to be so cold toward me? Everyone's saying that you got into that accident because you were going out with a woman..."

"You can leave now. Bring your stuff with you."

Cedric was cold as he glared at Laura emotionlessly.

She didn't want to back off just like that. "Cedric, I don't mind what you do outside. I'll take care of Emma and be a good wife."

"Laura, you were the one who told Mom that we were engaged, knowing fully that

I never agreed to this and we've never been in a relationship."

Her expression turned dark. "We come from the same backgrounds. There's nothing wrong with an engagement. You've changed since you returned from Aldoria. Have you developed a crush on someone?"

"That's my personal business. I'm not obligated to tell you any of this. Leave!"

Laura stood up indignantly. She was going to find out who she was. Was it the woman she saw by the door just now?
