Chapter 12 shock
Chapter 12 shock
Adriana would be crossing the line as she mentioned Richard's past relationship with Pearl. No one
dared to bring it up.
Richard looked at Adriana coldly so she corrected herself hastily, "Richard, you need rest. I won't
disturb you anymore."
Richard frowned when he spotted the panic in her eyes.
During all these years, Adriana always had been with him. She had a good temper. She was not a pain
in the neck. She knew how she should behave. If he had to get married, she was the perfect candidate.
More importantly, she really loved him.
Richard's tone softened slightly for that. He replied, "Well, tell me when we get there."
"Okay."
Adriana told the driver to be slower and adjusted the temperature of the air conditioner. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
After finishing that, she found the man beside her already closed his eyes. He leaned against the seat,
having a rest. So she couldn't ask the question she actually wanted to know.
Richard hid everything perfectly, but she knew that he raised his arm deliberately to knock Mrs. Harris
in the corridor, so that Mrs. Harris's mobile phone fell into the bucket of water.
He seemed to hate Pearl. But he still defended her as she was in danger.
Adriana clenched her fists gradually and her fingernails pricked her palms.
......
After leaving the dean's office, Pearl's head was still in buzz.
She did not explain the video. The dean didn't ask too much about it either. After all it was a private
thing. However, it indeed created a huge ruckus, thus she was suspended from work.
Pearl went back to her apartment. She dropped the car key on the table and slumped on the sofa,
unwilling to move an inch anymore.
She just wanted to go back her country to work peacefully. But nothing went right here. Kityall almost
be the worst city for her now. After coming back, she had encountered so many problems. First, it was
Richard. Then her job now.
She was irked but the doorbell rang.
Food delivery? But, she did not order anything.
She opened the door.
"Surprise!" Pearl heard a childish and soft voice. Someone hugged her thigh at once.
Pearl lowered her head. Her little girl. For a second, Pearl thought she was dreaming.
"Bonny?"
"Mommy! Do you like my surprise?" A rosy little face beamed at Pearl like a sunflower, so brightly.
"Oh my god. So you came here alone?"
"Of course not!" Bonny grabbed Pearl's hand. She looked back and shouted to the elevator at the end
of the corridor, "Brandon, hurry up!"
Pearl heard some suitcases were approaching to them. There Brandon showed up, wearing a set of
white casual clothes. He took two small suitcases with him. He appeared composed unlike a seven-
year-old child.
"Women are troublesome. I told you not to bring so much stuff."
Pearl was even more delighted to see her son. "Brandon!"
Brandon nodded in response and pointed with his chin to the living room behind Pearl, "This room,
right?"
Pearl gave birth to this twins abroad. And they grew up there. She only rented the apartment for work,
so it was the first time for the twins to come here.
Pearl saw behind the twins and asked, "Wait, where is Ethan?"
"He doesn't come." Brandon took the suitcases into the apartment calmly.
"What the hell?" Pearl raised her voice. She was too shocked to speak. "Just you two? How could you
come here by yourself?"
Pearl bombarded the twins with questions but experienced boy Brandon ignored her.
Bonny hugged Pearl's thigh and refused to let her go. She answered innocently and softly, "We flew
here. Mommy, I told you about it."
"Huh?" Pearl lowered her head to Bonny. Then her found her son had got himself a drink. Suddenly, it
occurred to her that the twins did mention this a few days ago.
But how could she knew that the twins were serious about it.
How could they get the permission from the airline company to get aboard a plane?
