Mysterious Little Wife

Chapter 36 Are You Trying to Kill Me?

Chapter 36 Are You Trying to Kill Me?

With a "thud," Sam threw Lacey onto the bed.

Lacey frowned due to the abrupt aggression.

With scorn, Sam looked down at his soaked clothes. Meanwhile, Lacey remained motionless on the

bed like a corpse, unwilling to move.

Such behavior of hers enraged him.

"Get up!" He went forward and grabbed her wrist, pulling her up as he asked, "Are you done playing

around?"

Lacey paused. Her eyes widened in bewilderment. "Who are you?" She asked.

"Who do you think I am?" Sam had a firm grasp on her wrist and showed no compassion.

"Are you my dad?" Her body swayed as she tilted her head.

"What did you just say?" Sam's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You're my daddy!" She grinned as if a goofball.

"No, I'm not!" He yelled.

Scolded by Sam, Lacey bit her lower lip in aggravation. "Why don't I be your daddy, then?" She

suggested.

"Lacey!" Sam roared and increased the strength of his grip.

"It hurts." Lacey frowned, and her lips quivered. "It hurts—"

"Does it?" Sam sneered.

"How fierce." Her eyes turned red all of a sudden. She sobbed, "Why are you being so hard on me?"

Sam was a little taken aback.

"I'll behave, all right?" Her eyes were puffy and red. Her cheeks were as rosy as apples. "I'll behave, so

please don't be hard on me—" she said as she slipped into his cold embrace.

Sam tensed up.

A hoarse voice with a tinge of coldness rang out over Lacey's head shortly after. "Are you really drunk,

or are you just pretending to be?"

Just as Sam finished speaking, he grabbed her by the waist and rolled over to pin her underneath.

Lacey then collapsed onto the bed. Her dark hair was strewn across the white sheets.

Her yellow dress was soaked through and through, revealing her lingerie inside.

More shockingly, her wide eyes remained innocent and confused.

Sam's chilly face grew glum. He lifted her chin and said, expressionlessly, "Aren't you drunk? Well, why

don't we do something a drunk would do?"

Sam pressed his lips to Lacey's.

He did not, however, move.

Sam held his breath as he awaited her resistance.

But instead, the breathing on her lips grew steadier.

He rose slightly and noticed that she had fallen asleep!

Sam's obsidian eyes grew deep as he stared at her.

Lacey's fair skin glistened in the night. Her peaceful side profile gave her the look of a snoozing toddler.

Sam did not speak. He stared at her in silence while he pondered.

Much to anyone's surprise, he took off her clothes.

......

Soaked clothes were hard to take off.

Nevertheless, he always found a way. On her fair and delicate skin, his slender fingers slowly glided

over.

Lacey's lingerie was exposed as the zip was pulled down bit by bit.

His fingers moved hesitantly and gently in forbidden places.

Reaching his hands onto Lacey's brassiere, Sam leaned down and smirked. "Do better if you're going

to act."

Lacey's tightly closed eyes suddenly crinkled. "D*mn it!" She thought as she bit her lower lip.

Sure enough, Sam moved slightly away. His eyes were cold and disgusted as he stared at her.

At this point, he already regarded Lacey as a woman who was trying to seduce him by unscrupulous

means.

"Sam, what a coincidence~" Lacey's eyes were crescent-shaped. She flashed a dazzling smile. "We

meet again on bed!"

Sam lifted her chin. Their breaths seemed to intertwine due to the close distance. "You're a slut,

indeed!" He sneered.

Lacey gazed into his scornful eyes. She smiled enchantingly, like a meteor shower at night. Then, as if

upset, she grumbled with a frown, "Sam, how could you say that? You've wronged me. I neither asked

you to carry me back, nor did I ask you to take off my clothes." She bit her lip and continued, "I never

asked you to hold me down too, did I?"

Upon hearing those sentences, Sam's expression grew grave. He leaned closer to Lacey and spoke

coldly in her ear, "Have you forgotten what I said?"

He held her grip so hard that Lacey felt as if it might snap at any moment.

But even so, she forced a smile. "My dear brother-in-law, what are you talking about—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Sam slid his grip on her wrist to her neck.

"Are you trying to kill me?" Lacey maintained her calm. Her eyes showed no sign of fear.

Death did not frighten her at all.

Instead, living alone was the thing she feared most.

"Lacey, you've schemed against someone you shouldn't have!" Sam tightened his grip, and the sight of

his eyes sent shivers down the spine.

Lacey found it hard to breathe. Nonetheless, she put on a smile while her hands remained at her sides.

Her starry eyes shone brightly just then.

She knew that if Sam did kill her, he wouldn't have to go to jail or pay any legal price.

But then again, death might be a welcome release.

She kind of missed her mother.

Lacey gradually closed her eyes.

Was she finally going to be free?

Just as her breathing grew strenuous, the grip on her neck suddenly loosened.

"Lacey, you must leave South City first thing in the morning!" Sam warned her.

Just as he was about to get out of bed, Lacey grabbed his wrist. She slowly began to open her eyes.

Her skin was pale. Her dark eyes were as quiet as the grave. In a gentle tone, she asked, "Why didn't

you kill me?"

Sam remained silent as he locked his gaze on her.

Lacey, too, stared at him motionless. Shortly afterward, she giggled. "Do you realize that letting me go

tonight is going to be the worst decision you've ever made?"

Sam frowned and stared at her in confusion.

During that precise moment, the door was knocked.

"Thump, thump, thump!"

"Lacey, are you asleep?" It was Lillianna.

"Lacey, I've brought something to sober you up." Theo, too, was outside.

Sam was about to get out of bed and open the door.

Little did he know that Lacey would suddenly roll over and pin him underneath.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

"Do you want to open the door and have them misunderstand us?" With questioning eyebrows, Lacey

sat on his body and asked.

"Get off me!" Sam was displeased with her sitting on him.

"Aside from Lillianna's jealousy, will you be terrified of Theo seeing us together? After all, his girlfriend

and his cousin are in the same bed!" Lacey raised her eyebrows and gave him a provocative look.

Sam sneered and looked at her with mocking eyes. "Do you think they'll believe I've done anything to

you?"

"I don't think so." Lacey bit her lower lip. Thereupon, she pulled off her dress, removed her lingerie, and

tossed them aside. "How about now?"

Sam clasped the back of Lacey's head and drew her closer. He fixed her with a somber, oppressive

gaze. "You don't seem to be taking my warning seriously?"

Lacey smiled faintly and showed no signs of fear. She said, "I warned you that letting me go tonight

would be the worst decision you've ever made!"

"Are you threatening me?" Sam's expression turned cloudy.

Lacey shrugged and gave him an indifferent look as if to say, "There's nothing I can do about it if that's

what you want to think."

"I can crush you any time I want!" Sam suddenly grabbed her by the neck.

Lacey, however, was quick to react this time. She was able to seize both of his wrists. "Sam, the same

trick won't work on me the second time." She lifted her eyebrows. "Or do you think I'm incapable of

screaming?"

Immediately afterward, she yelled, "Who's at the door?"

"Lacey, you're awake. It's me, Theo!" Theo quickly responded.

"Lacey, it's me, your sister. Open up!" Lillianna said.

"I'll be right there! Wait a minute!" Lacey continued to yell.

Sure enough, beneath her, Sam had a face as dark as ink. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

"What do you want?" He asked.

Sam had finally surrendered.

Lacey giggled. A hint of coldness in her voice as she said, "Sam, you really do love Lillianna, don't

you?"

She rolled over and climbed out of bed.

"How much money do you need?" Sam asked coldly. "Is five million dollars enough?"

Lacey went to the closet and pulled out a dress. "Do I look like I only need money?" she asked, turning

to Sam. "Don't worry. I'm not after any cash this time. I'm after you!"

Sam slowly approached her. He pressed her against the closet and said dismissively, "Dream on."

Lacey pouted and stared up at him. "It's not like I'm interested in marrying you. I don't expect to be Mrs.

Garrison. You didn't have to speak such hurtful words, Sam!"

"Don't play tricks on me!" Sam raised her chin in a forewarning. He seemed offended.

Lacey frowned and said with slight displeasure, "Why do you always like to pinch my chin? It hurts!"

"Lacey, open the door!" Theo urged.

"Lacey, are you there?" Lillianna sounded worried.

The urging at the door sounded again.

"For a week, Sam, I'd like you to be my secret lover. The kind of pair who doesn't share a bed!" Lacey

gave Sam a slight smile as she glanced at him.

Sam's face dropped. "What did you just say?" His tone became stiff.

"If that isn't possible, three days will do. You must not be inattentive to me or mock me over those three

days. In addition, you must cooperate with me!" Lacey demanded.

Sam kept silent. His sarcasm towards Lacey was growing, and his eyes were spitting contempt.

Lacey was oblivious to this as she walked to the door. "I'm coming! I'm coming!"

She got off of Sam and put on a dress. "Aren't you going to hide?"

She asked Sam before opening the door.

Little did she know Sam had actually gone looking for a place to hide!

Turning around, Lacey noticed Sam hiding behind the curtain and couldn't help but chuckled.

How amusing!

The fun was about to begin!
