Chapter 8
Chapter 8
At that moment, a few young men in fashionable clothes were
drinking and enjoying themselves in a private room at the Nightwalker Club. Trent was sitting right in the middle with two scantily dressed women on either side surrounding him.
One of the women was giggling flirtatiously while holding a drink to his lips. Trent took a sip happily, then he kissed the woman on her ruby lips. The woman grinned and responded to his kiss.
Everything just looked incredibly extravagant and sensuous.
Once Trent was done with the kiss, he let go of the woman who was left panting for breath. Then, with an unfathomable gaze, he looked down at Celena who was on her knees in front of him.
Suddenly, he grabbed Celena’s fair wrist and pulled her into his arms with great force. Celena was so frightened by his move that she was shaking all over and started to struggle. “Mr. Walker, you can’t do this.
“I can’t do this? Celena, you’ve come to this place with me. Do you think you still have the chance to negotiate with me? I can’t stand it when you act stubborn in the face of doom, but I just love how aloof
you are.”
While saying that, Trent lifted Celena’s chin and continued, “I’ve always wondered how the cold and gorgeous Celena would look under me when I have my way with her. It must feel incredibly amazing. I’m going to have a good taste of it now. Hahaha.”
Upon saying that, he pinched Celena’s chin hard and pushed her to the side. Celena fell so hard that she felt dizzy as she landed on the
floor on her stomach.
Trent did not even glance at her. He just continued putting one arm around the woman next to him while holding his drink in the other.
With a wicked grin on his face, he looked at Celena and said, “Don’t pretend to be innocent when you’re already here. Finish the drinks on the table.”
Every fiber of Celena’s being felt reluctant. Being touched by Trent made her so disgusted that she wanted to throw up. She could not stop shaking because she felt scared.
She forced herself to hold back her fears and tears, then she stood up while trembling. She stuttered, “Mr. Walker, I-I’m worried about Jovie. I- I want to go back and take a look at her. I’ll just take one look and-”
Before she could finish, Trent gave her a tight slap on her face. Her cheek was immediately visibly swollen.
“Celena, don’t be f*cking ungrateful. Think of that b*stard in the hospital. I’m doing you a favor by sleeping with you, yet you’re unwilling to do it? Who the hell do you think you are?” Trent bellowed. He kicked the coffee table in front of it, shattering all the glasses on it.
At that moment, Camilla-the manager of the Nightwalker Club- came rushing in. As if she could not see that Trent was furious, she helped Celena up with a broad grin and teased Trent, “Gosh, look at you go when you’re angry. It’s bad for your health though.
“I’ll have someone clean this mess up now. You may just carry on drinking. I’ll take her out and get her sorted out. I’ll talk some sense
into her.”
Upon saying, she gave the servers behind her a signal with her eyes. The servers immediately started cleaning up the mess in the room. Soon, a new coffee table and drinks were set up.
Trent said nothing else. He simply sneered Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
26 took his seat on the
couch again. Camilla quickly pulled Celena out of the private room and brought her to the lounge.
“Are you alright? How can people like us afford to mess with Trent? You’re truly unlucky to be targeted by a man like him,” said Camilla.
She applied some medication to Celena and sighed. “If you were to ask me, I’d say you might as well get together with him instead of taking care of the child on your own. You should at least do it for your child. Then, once he’s had enough of you, you can just go live in another city.”
Celena’s gaze immediately became gloomy at the mention of her child. When she thought of Jovie, she could not hold back her tears anymore and started sobbing.
Her daughter was still so young, yet she was already suffering so much. She should have been a child in school and living a carefree life, but it was not even clear if she was alive at that moment.
