She said, "Your parents are spewing nonsense. If it was Amelia, Mr. Hawls wouldn't have even sent her home!"

A glimmer of light flashed across Preslie's eyes. "Really?"

Yesseca nodded heavily. She said with certainty, "Of course, Mr. Hawls did not take advantage of you not because of your looks, but because he is a true gentleman. He would never do anything to a woman who is drunk."

Preslie's mood which was previously glum suddenly improved.

She couldn't help but smile. "Yesseca, you're right. Mr. Hawls is a true gentleman."

Seeing how happy Preslie was, Yessca suddenly felt something wasn't quite right.
