Chapter 771 My Delightful Faye

Chapter 771 My Delightful Faye

Rebecca's WhatsApp message brought a sense of delight.

Faye imagined the scene and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

The next day.

Faye was in a daze as she slept when she felt some movement on the bed beside her.

Faye furrowed her brows and opened her eyes, "What time is it?"

Colin leaned down and kissed Faye's forehead. He said, "It's eight o'clock. It's weekend, so you can

sleep in."

"Are you going to the office?"

Colin used his hand to brush aside the strands of hair on Faye's forehead and answered, "Today,

someone from the bridal shop is coming to deliver sample dresses. They're downstairs now, and I'm

going to check it out."

Faye blinked and asked, "Was today the day we scheduled before?"

Colin teased, "Ms. Nash, can you spare a little thought for your lifelong affair? I didn't ask for much.

Just give it about a tenth of the attention you give to your work."

Faye reached out to pull the blanket over herself and mumbled, "I'm sorry."

Colin chuckled softly, "It's rare to see the super-capable Ms. Nash apologize for anything."

Faye playfully taunted, "It's rare to see the famous Mr. Farrell actually eager to be tied down."

Colin raised his eyebrow and said, "Are you trying to challenge me?"

Faye hid her entire face under the blanket, revealing her eyes, which were curved with a clear sense of

amusement, "Do you want me to go down as well?"

Colin's slender fingers toyed with Faye's hair, intertwined with the strands, and replied, "No need, you

can sleep a little longer if you're tired."

"Are you sure you don't need me to?"

Colin countered with a question, "Do you want to go down and take a look?"

After a moment of eye contact, Colin's voice deepened with a smile, "I'll go down first, you can come

down after you're done freshening up."

Faye agreed with a smile, "Alright."

After Faye finished her morning routine, she went downstairs. The manager of the bridal shop was

introducing a few wedding gowns to Colin.

Colin had changed into a shirt and suit pants before he came down. He left the collar of the black shirt Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

slightly open and the hem untucked from the pants, which gave him a casual yet lazy appearance.

Faye was staring at Colin absentmindedly when Cindy, the housekeeper noticed her. She called out,

"Mrs. Farrell, you're awake. What would you like for breakfast?"

Faye snapped back to reality, her smile widening as she replied, "Anything will do."

As Faye's words trailed off, Colin turned his gaze towards her. He was smiling happily while he said,

"Honey, come over and see which one you like."

Faye came down the stairs. When she reached Colin, he reached out and pulled her into his arms by

her waist.

Faye earnestly looked at the wedding gowns. Colin leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "Honey,

you are finally here. Someone has their eyes on your husband."

Faye looked up and felt confused, "Huh?"

As Faye finished speaking, Colin discreetly slipped a business card into her hand.

Faye didn't look at it immediately. She held the card and squeezed it, thinking some staff member

attempted to give it to her privately. "Mr. Farrell's charm is as strong as ever."

"Charm remains, but with a growing intention."

Faye playfully added, "I hope Mr. Farrell will uphold his marital duties in the days to come."

Colin smiled and said, "Please rest assured, Madam Farrell."

Engaged in their private banter, the two young store assistants exchanged a glance, unable to hide

their excitement.

Since Faye had expressed a desire for a traditional wedding, the gowns brought today were all of that

style.

After selecting a few pieces, Faye ultimately chose a phoenix-embroidered wedding gown.

Once Faye had made her choice, she turned to ask for Colin's opinion, "How does it look?"

"Not bad," Colin nodded with a light smile, his hands were in his pockets as he looked at Faye. "If you

like it, we will pick this one?"

"Yes, this one."

Colin continued, "There are also the outfits for the toasting ceremony. You have to choose those as

well."

Faye scanned the options and selected two that she preferred.

After choosing the wedding gowns, Cindy escorted the representatives from the bridal shop out.

Colin held Faye's hand with their fingers interlocked, and then brought her hand to his lips, and kissed

it. He said, "It feels like we've only just started to feel the wedding atmosphere."

Faye mused, "Should we take a break next? Focus on planning the wedding?"

Colin responded solemnly, "I believe it's very necessary."

With his statement, Faye suddenly remembered something. She spread open her other hand and

looked at the business card Colin had given her earlier.

When she saw the name on the card, she looked up mockingly, "That female anchor I dealt with

recently?"

Colin's smile seemed enigmatic as he said, "She's quite audacious. She had someone send me a gift

early in the morning, along with a business card tucked inside."

Faye asked curiously, "What kind of gift?"

Colin leaned closer, lowered his head to lightly bite Faye's earlobe as he said, "A seductive nightgown."

As he finished speaking, Faye turned with her head tilted. She lifted her eyelid and asked playfully, "I

remember that female anchor's name was Amelia Parker?"

Colin honestly replied, "I'm not sure."

Faye teased with a confused look, "Didn't you read the business card she gave you?"

Colin's thin lips curled into a smile as he tucked his hands into his pockets and answered, "I didn't."

Faye casually tossed the business card into the trash and said, "Let's eat first."

It was the weekend, and after breakfast, Colin and Faye had originally planned to go to the hospital for

a health checkup.

However, they received a call from Abbot even before they left the house.

On the phone, Abbot's voice was unusually soft. He asked, "Colin, where are you?"

Colin calmly lied, "I'm working overtime at the office."

Abbot didn't believe it and said, "Working overtime on a weekend?"

Colin chuckled, "If it weren't a weekend, it wouldn't be called working overtime, it would just be regular

work."

Abbot was speechless.

After a moment, Abbot spoke again, "Colin, to be honest with you, there's been a bit of a situation over

here."

Colin leaned against the hallway cabinet, signaling for Faye to put on her shoes. He replied with a faint

smile, "What? Did your future father-in-law not treat you well last night?"

At Colin said those words "father-in-law", Abbot's voice turned cold and resentful, "Don't bring that up."

"Abbot, you don't sound like you're asking for help with that tone."

Abbot sounded somewhat desperate and said, "I am sorry."

Colin's voice deepened with amusement and said, "What? Speak louder, I didn't hear you."

"I am sorry, okay? Stop wasting time, come over quickly. If you don't come soon, I'll go crazy."

After Abbot finished speaking, knocking sounds could be heard at the end of his call.

Abbot seemed to get shocked and he hung up the phone.

Hearing the busy tone on his phone, Colin chuckled softly and looked at Faye, "I think we might need

to make a trip to the Blacks' villa."

Faye looked up and asked, "Abbot's call?"

Colin slipped his phone into his pocket and answered, "Yes, he mentioned there's some situation on his

end, and if I don't go, he'll go crazy."

When Colin finished speaking, Faye couldn't help but laugh, "It's probably related to Rebecca's father."

Colin continued, "Most likely."

An hour later, Colin and Faye arrived at the Blacks' villa.

Exiting the car, Colin went to the trunk and pulled out a gift he had prepared in advance, and said,

"Let's go."

Faye's fingertips, hanging by her side, curled slightly. She raised her hand and looped it through Colin's

arm.

Seeing that, Colin turned his head to look at Faye.

Faye didn't say anything and her ears slightly reddened.

Collin lowered his head and suddenly smiled, "Can we consider this as indirectly meeting the parents

too?"

Faye didn't hesitate at all and said, "Yes. Mr. Black and Mrs. Black have always been very kind to me.

In those times when I was in school, they often had Rebecca bring me snacks. Occasionally on

weekends, they would prepare dishes that I liked. They even bought me clothes when they were

shopping for Rebecca..."

Faye spoke in a casual tone, but Colin's heart seemed to tighten as he listened.

With both hands holding items, Colin lowered his head and planted a kiss on Jiang Ying's forehead,

"My delightful Faye."
