Chapter 767 So Poor
The next day.
Because of Rebecca's message last night, Faye thought about it carefully and sent a message on
Instagram to Tanner to express her gratitude.
After the message was sent, Tanner did not reply immediately.
About half an hour later, Tanner called Faye.
Faye hesitated for a moment, then answered the phone. "Hello, Tanner."
They hadn't been in touch for too long but Tanner said naturally, "I was filming just now."
Faye said, "Hmm, I heard you're filming a costume drama and you play the hero."
Tanner continued smilingly, "Thanks to Mr. Farrell. He helps me get many roles."
They chatted over the phone for a while. Faye suddenly remembered that Galen had mentioned before
that she wanted a signed photo of Tanner. "By the way, when will you return to the company? My
assistant wants your signed photo."
Tanner said jokingly, "Why? Put my photo by the bedside to ward off evil spirits."
Faye smiled and said, "I'm not sure. Maybe she will hang it at the door."
Upon hearing Faye's words, Tanner suddenly laughed.
Then he coughed lightly and asked, "Are you still angry?"
Faye didn't answer his question and calmly changed the subject. "I'll treat you to dinner when you have
spare time."
Tanner paused and said, "It's settled. I will definitely rip you and Colin off."
"No problem."
After a few more chats, Faye hung up the phone on the pretext of having work to do.
Not long after hanging up, Tanner posted a crew photo in their previous chat group.
Before long, Rebecca was the first to respond. [Hey, isn't this Tanner I haven't seen for many years?]
Tanner: [Oh, Becca.]
Rebecca: [How lucky I am! You, a superstar, still remember me, a common person.]
Tanner: [I can forget anyone but you, Becca. I never expected that you could sell your company for
your true love.]
Tanner's words made Rebecca displeased.
Next, Rebecca didn't type anymore but directly sent out a voice to curse Tanner.
Tanner: [Becca, I know many Buddhist masters. Do you need me to introduce them to you someday?]
Tanner changed the subject so fast that Rebecca was confused. She typed "?" and sent it.
Tanner: [As the saying goes, when you are rich, you can waste your money, but when you don't have
money, you worship Buddha.]
That sentence directly pissed Rebecca off.
In the next few minutes, Rebecca kept cursing Tanner.
Faye smiled and just watched them chat for a while. Then she turned off her phone and went to
immerse herself in the work.
After a busy day, Faye received a call from Colin when it was time to get off work. He said that he
wanted to take her to watch a show. Faye went downstairs in confusion.
The weather forecast was accurate today. It had been raining intermittently since 9 o'clock.
When Faye arrived at the underground parking lot by elevator, not only Colin was there, but also Ethan.
They were talking with evil grins on their faces.
Faye got into the car without knowing anything. After more than an hour, the car stopped outside the
Blacks' villa.
Faye glanced out and saw Abbot's car not far away. She realized something and asked, "What is Abbot
preparing to do?"
Ethan said smilingly, "To apologize."
Faye looked at the rain hammering on the car window and continued, "So poor."
Colin smiled mischievously and dialed Abbot's phone number.
The bell rang for a few seconds, and then Abbot picked it up. "Are you there?"
"Yes. Start it."
Abbot still hesitated. "Is it really okay to do so?"
Colin looked at Abbot's car through the window and said, "How do you know if you don't try?"
Upon hearing Colin's words, Abbot gritted his teeth and said, "Okay, ask Faye to call Rebecca."
Then Abbot hung up the phone.
Not long after, Abbot got out of the car dressed in a suit and leather shoes, holding a large handful of
roses. Today, it was also windy, and the rain hit him in the face.
Colin and Ethan saw this and started laughing, sitting in the car.
Colin said, "The rain looks quite heavy today."
Ethan also said, "Even heavier than that in tragedy movies."
Colin added, "Oh, Mr. Bond, have you watched movies lately?"
Ethan remained calm and said, "I didn't watch. Violet is back."
Ethan was expressionless as usual, but his eyes flashed with happiness. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Colin chuckled lightly and said, "Does Ms. Rowan live with you?"
Ethan said, "Yes. She just came back and hasn't found a place to live for a while."
Colin teased, "Did Ms. Rowan really fail to find a place to live, or did someone play a trick?"
Ethan said, "The process is not important. What matters is the outcome."
After about seven or eight minutes, Abbot held a rose that was about to be damaged by the rain in one
hand and took out his phone from his pocket to call Colin.
The phone was connected, and Abbot spoke glumly, "Did Faye call? Where is Rebecca?"
Colin didn't even ask Faye to call. He glanced at Abbot, who was drenched in water, and said, "Wait a
few more minutes. She is coming soon."
Abbot asked, "Is she still angry?"
Colin calmly lied, "You deceived her so she sold her company. Isn't it normal for her to be angry?"
Abbot said, "Don't just watch. Let Faye call Rebecca and help me say something nice."
"Don't worry. You helped me a lot when I proposed. I remember it. So I will definitely help you this time."
Abbot was speechless.
Then Colin hung up directly.
Abbot suddenly had a premonition as he heard the busy signal on the phone.
Colin let Abbot wait for more than ten minutes before asking Faye to call Rebecca.
After the call, Rebecca was shocked to learn that Abbot was getting wet at her door and said, "The rain
is so heavy. Is he crazy?"
Faye smiled, "Abbot comes to apologize."
Rebecca said, "He doesn't have to apologize on such a day."
Then a rustling sound came from the phone. It sounded like Rebecca was looking for something.
After a while, Rebecca said, "Alright, I'm not talking to you. I'll go out and see that fool."
After a few minutes, Rebecca, in a pink rabbit-style pajama, appeared outside the Blacks' villa with an
umbrella.
Upon seeing Rebecca, Abbot directly knelt down.
Rebecca was frightened by his move and instinctively took two steps back.
Abbot held up the bouquet of roses that had already been destroyed by the rain.
"Becca, I have realized my mistake and I promise not to make such mistakes again in the future."
"For the company, I will arrange for my assistant to transfer it back to you tomorrow."
"Please forgive me this time. I promise I will never do that again."
Rebecca stood on the steps, looking at Abbot kneeling in the rain. She had mixed feelings.
She felt angry, amused, and pity.
Seeing Rebecca remain silent, Abbot raised his head and spoke hoarsely, "What should I do to get
your forgiveness?"
Rebecca took two steps forward and put the umbrella over Abbot's head. "I'll consider it."
Abbot said, "How about I kowtow to you?"
