Chapter 34
Chapter 34
Patricia counted that there were five hundred inside once she received the envelope of money. As
her eyes glimmered, she realized that Isaac was being generous this time around. She could settle
her grocery shopping with two hundred, so does that mean the remaining three hundred was for
hers to keep?
When she had such a thought, she planned the type of vegetables that she wanted to purchase
from the grocery store.
Patricia initially decided to send the three kids home before heading to the nearby grocery store.
Her cell phone rang the moment she sat in the driver’s seat.
She took her device out to set the navigation system and saw a message on Messenger.
‘Don’t forget the receipt. We need to make sure that everything matches.’
Patricia was so exasperated that she threw her cell phone aside. She wanted to curse at the
sender but had to suppress her emotions since the three kids were still in the car.
As she drove the car, she was cursing in her heart. Isaac Arnold, you are a f*cking thrifty b*stard.
Damn you, idiot. Why don’t you die?
After she fumed for a while, those were the ones she wanted to curse aloud. But, as she had never
truly argued with anyone before, she was rather at a loss for words.
Sylvie did not have her afternoon nap, and combined with the fact that she cried buckets today, it
didn’t take her long for her to nap in the vehicle.
Josephine was seated in the front passenger seat, and she couldn’t stop sighing. “Poppy is really
pitiful. Even Darcie is suffering too.”
Scott brought Sylvie’s head to his lap before he removed his outer layer to drape her with it. It was
obvious that he could care well for people.
Stellan also felt that Poppy was too pitiful, so he asked, “Mommy, if we have the money, let’s lend it
to Miss Bowes!”
He and his brother earned 500 thousand, which was just nice for the medical treatment. Since
Patricia barely used any money, it would be much better for them to use the amount to save
Poppy.
Patricia was stunned for a second when Stellan discussed money. She immediately regained her
composure because she needed to maintain her focus on the road.
“Yup, I’ll help Miss Bowes. Since you should be attending classes, don’t poke your nose into this.”
Stellan thought she would use that 500 thousand and silently communicated with Scott. She’s
finally come to her senses; otherwise, she wouldn’t have persisted in not using that amount of
money. Our silly mother will definitely make us worried.
After Patricia sent the kids home to Snowflake Lane, she drove straight to the grocery store, where
she decided to discuss with Isaac the fuel expenditure.
Should he choose not to reimburse her, she would take the cab the next time and report the cab
fare instead.
She was busy for about thirty minutes at the grocery store and managed to purchase all the items
that she needed. In actual fact, she was not skilled in cooking, and if the dishes were not tasty,
there was nothing she could do because she had to pay her debt.
Even if it tasted terrible, she was not the one eating it. Then, she smiled wickedly as she carried
the two bags full of ingredients into her car. After that, she drove in the direction of Estrella Villa.
Patricia’s car tire punctured when she was a few hundred meters away from Estrella Villa. When
she got out of the car to check, she realized that she had a flat tire due to the lack of air.
As she kicked the tire hard, she started to curse. “Can’t you f*cking endure for a few hundred more
meters?!”
At that moment, she was on the road. So, all the cars behind her were stuck in a traffic congestion
the moment she stopped her vehicle to check what had happened. When the traffic police came to
understand the situation, he asked her to move her car to the far right lane of the road.
Patricia intended to continue driving to Estrella Villa before changing tires, but she couldn’t since Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
there was completely no air.
Then, the traffic police asked, “Miss, do you need me to help contact the tow truck company?”
It was because he saw that she was a young female and was worried that she wouldn’t be able to
handle it on her own.
When Patricia thought about the fuel costs, she shook her head. “It’s okay. There’s no need to do
so.”
After the traffic police gave her the military salute, he walked to the back of her car to direct traffic
and resolve the congestion.
When she bought this car, she learned a lot of skills in repairing the vehicle, so it was not a
problem to change a flat tire.
Patricia then removed the jack and spare tire from the vehicle’s trunk and began to change the flat
tire in the far right lane of the road. After she ensured that she had jacked the car up, she took the
wrench and proceeded to unscrew the tire rim.
