Chapter 22 I Didn't Do It
Anastasia didn't answer the phone and hung up directly.
But the phone rang continuously.
She directly blocked the number, but not long after, Tobias's call came again.
She paused, thinking Tobias was one of Christian's friends who had a good relationship with her.
She picked it up, but Christian's hoarse voice came from the other end.
"Anastasia, don't rush to do anything to the matter on the Internet. I will take care of it."
Anastasia's face darkened, and she sneered.
"Is it interesting to make a false countercharge?"
Christian was silent for two seconds. "My mother ordered someone to do it, and it has nothing to do
with me."
He got himself out of the matter immediately and showed her his attitude.
Anastasia chuckled and hung up the phone.
Was there any difference between him and his mother to do it? Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Tobias looked at Christian's gloomy face and couldn't help complaining.
"Christian, you will get me involved. What if Anastasia doesn't answer my calls in the future?"
Christian glanced at him coldly and then threw the phone back.
The fact that Anastasia answered Tobias's call made him very angry!
The comment area of Starlight Entertainment was full of comments.
But Anastasia didn't let people release the video immediately.
She needed to wait until they thought they had stood on the moral high ground and were about to win,
and that was the best moment to fight back.
So even if the company's phone was about to explode, the Starlight Entertainment Headquarters
remained indifferent, as if nothing had happened.
At noon.
Eleanor invited Anastasia to have dinner together.
The two of them arrived at a fancy restaurant they used to go to.
"I went to your family to find you, but your parents said you lived outside, so I just came to your
company."
"They're not worried, are they?"
Eleanor smiled, "They have confidence in their daughter's ability, so they didn't say much at all, and
they just asked me to bring you something to eat."
Anastasia breathed a sigh of relief, and the two went inside together. There was no one else, so they
chose a seat by the window.
Eleanor ordered the meal directly. While the two of them were waiting for the food, they heard the
sound of a child babbling from the door.
Turning her head, she saw Beatrice and Christian's mother, Lamia, walking in. They also pushed a
baby stroller, and Charlie, who looked exactly like Christian, was sitting in it.
It looked like they got along well.
Eleanor recognized them immediately and cursed secretly.
"Damn, what a day. I lost my appetite."
Anastasia withdrew her gaze and raised her eyebrows as if nothing had happened.
"Then pretend you didn't see them."
After saying that, Beatrice saw Anastasia sitting there and said pitifully, holding Lamia's arm.
"Isn't that Ms. Graves? What a coincidence. I didn't expect Ms. Graves to be here too!
"Ms. Graves is now the director of Starlight Entertainment, and she set me up yesterday."
When Lamia saw Anastasia, her face darkened as if she had seen some rubbish.
"It's really shameless to take my son's money to eat in such a fancy restaurant and to embarrass the
Patterson family on the Internet."
Anastasia paused, but Eleanor on the opposite side couldn't help standing up.
"You old shrew, who took your son's money? It was your son who cheated on her and raised an
illegitimate child. It was him embarrassing the Patterson family. How dare you blame it on Anastasia?"
The silence in the restaurant was suddenly broken.
Lamia's face darkened. She was used to being flattered as a noble lady, so naturally, she refused to
admit defeat easily.
"That's because she's useless, and she doesn't have the ability to win over her husband's heart. It's
disgraceful to marry into our family by threatening us. She hasn't given birth to a child after three years
of marriage. Isn't she ashamed?
"No matter how bad Beatrice is, she has given birth to Christian's first son!"
