Chapter 1396
Chapter 1396:
Norah swallowed hard, her gaze unintentional but entirely unrelenting. Meanwhile, Sean casually squeezed shower gel onto his palm and lathered it over his neck, shoulders, and chest. His hands moved lower, every movement seeming deliberately slow.
Norah tried to keep her voice steady. “You know, if someone hacked into this call, your shower video could go viral. Ever think about that?”
Without missing a beat, Sean leaned closer to the camera, his grin nothing short of wicked. Droplets of water rolled down his forehead, trailing over his impossibly handsome features. He was quite the charmer.noveldrama
“Don’t worry,” he said, his tone rich with amusement. “My data security is airtight. Besides…” He let the corner of his mouth quirk up into a smirk. “If you ever want to video call me while you’re showering, I’d be more than happy to return the favor, Mrs. Scott.”
Norah’s cheeks turned red as she remembered her intimate moment with Sean in the hot spring before his proposal the day before. “Hey, we’re not married yet, so why are you calling me Mrs. Scott?”
“You’ve already accepted my proposal, so you are the soon-to-be Mrs. Scott.”
Stepping back, Sean stood under the shower, letting the water wash the soap from his skin.
Norah shifted the conversation. “Let’s not discuss that now. How about we delay the dinner a few days? I think my mom would like to join us.”
“No problem.”
After turning off the shower, Sean grabbed a towel from the rack to dry off and then used another to pat down his hair, his phone in his other hand as he left the bathroom.

“Are you going out like that? Aren’t you going to put on any clothes?” Norah blinked.
Sean set his phone down, securing it before opening the wardrobe to find pajamas, ultimately choosing just a pair of shorts. “There’s no one else home, so I can wear whatever I like.”
His straightforward manner made Norah chuckle, feeling a warmth between them that deepened their bond.
Sean chuckled. “Something funny happened when I got home. I was going to talk to my family about the proposal and suggest a meal with your family. But as soon as I walked in, my dad handed me my identification documents.”
He laughed as he finished drying his hair. “He said we should head to City Hall tomorrow and register our marriage.”
Norah laughed out loud.
Were his parents really that eager? Was there really such a rush for Sean to marry her?
“My dad was half-joking,” he added, looking intently at her through the phone screen. “But I do want to know when we could go register our marriage.”
Norah shifted, propping up her phone. “Well, let’s find a time when we’re both free.”
Since Sean had proposed successfully, there was no reason to delay their marriage. Norah was ready to become his wife.
After a brief pause, Sean’s face lit up with joy. “Great, I’ll have my assistant find a time when we’re both free to register our marriage!” Recently, everything had been going smoothly; life felt surreal to Sean, almost dreamlike.
“Okay, just let me know when the date is set. I’m swamped at the hospital, and I won’t always be available. Be good, and try not to be upset.”
