Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 27

Stephen turned to Nancy and saw her swallowing food continuously. He was so scared that his eyes widened.

Before he could say anything, her rice was completely gone.

“I’m leaving first.” She stood up, bowed, and walked quickly.

“Nancy, today you continue to swallow rice without chewing, huh?” Stephen asked.

“Suddenly I felt so full.”

Dylan spoke angrily, his face darkened, leaving his meal untouched and standing up to leave the table.

Stephen reached out to hold Paul back, forcing him to finish his boss’s food to avoid waste.

Paul’s face couldn’t be any more distorted, he still needed this model body so he could find a girlfriend.

“Don’t worry, you won’t get fat after eating a lot at once.” Stephen patted his shoulder to comfort him.

Stephen was supposed to go to lunch with a group of customers earlier, but he used the excuse of a stomach ache to escape, leaving Lyle to take care of everything.

That group of customers, led by Steven, visited Global Group before signing a contract to build an apartment complex in country Y, a project in which Global Group contributed forty percent of the investment capital.

Although Stephen works very responsibly, he does not care about dividends.

He told Dylan to just report directly to his father because he didn’t understand anything. Anyway, the shares are still in Neil’s name, he just takes his monthly salary to spend to avoid headaches.

Returning to the editing room, Nancy took the opportunity to spread a small mat on the floor to rest a bit.

As soon as she took off her high heels and was about to lie down, Dylan grabbed her hand and pulled her away. She didn’t have time to react and just ran after him.

“President, what are you doing? It’s lunch break.”

Dylan didn’t say a word and threw her into the elevator. The number continuously jumped to the eighth floor.

As soon as the elevator door opened, he pulled her towards his office.

Nancy was so scared that her face turned pale. She looked left and right but couldn’t see anyone to ask for help.

After the sound of the door closing, her whole body fell on the sofa. As soon as she sat up, Dylan approached her.

His affectionate eyes looked at her passionately, the faint scent of masculine perfume lingering around her.

“President… president.” Nancy stammered.

“I’m just an assistant.” Dylan whispered into her ear.

“I… I’m sorry, it’s because I didn’t know, if I offended you, please forgive me.” She tried to push him away with both hands.

Dylan leisurely stood up and refastened the button that had just come loose at the cuff of his shirt. Nancy also quickly sat up, her heart almost jumped out of her chest.

“Now that you know my family background, it seems like I also have a ticket to pursue you. Nancy Pelosi, from today on I’m officially pursuing you, so don’t be too surprised.” Dylan smiled and solemnly declared.

“President, please let me go, I don’t want to be the thirteenth zodiac animal.”

“What are you talking about? What is the thirteenth zodiac animal?”

“You’re dating Rosalind, don’t drag me into this with you two. Without you, my life is already troubled enough.”

Hearing Nancy say that, Dylan stepped forward again, lifted her chin, and gently spoke. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“Don’t misunderstand, if I were to date Rosalind, would I be able to come to your house every day for the past half a month?”

Nancy quickly pushed Dylan’s hand off her chin and stood up. At this moment, she realized that she was barefoot, so she lingered and did not dare to step out.

Looking at her miserable appearance, Dylan laughed again and took out the phone to call Mina.

“Mina, please stop by the editing room to help me get Nancy’s high heels.”

Hearing a knock on the door outside, Nancy rolled her eyes and looked at Dylan. She knew for sure that it couldn’t be Mina. Even if Mina goes at the speed of light, it’s not that fast.

If other people saw her like this, even if she jumped into the river, she wouldn’t be able to clear their suspicions.

Thinking that, she quickly ran to the desk, crawled inside, and sat still.

Dylan laughed softly. He felt that she was so adorable as if the little girl from years ago had returned.

A few seconds later, the door opened and Wynn jumped in, rushing straight to the sofa. Dylan stood with his back against the desk, pretending to be looking at documents, and spoke nonchalantly.

“What do you need?”

“President, can you tell Lyle to let me choose my co-star from now on?” Wynn opened his eyes wide and pretended to be cute.

“Why don’t you go and say it yourself?”

“He won’t listen to me. But if you tell him, he will agree.”

“I have to look at your performance first. Once you become famous, you will have the right to recommend anyone.”

When Dylan finished speaking, Wynn’s face immediately became sullen, his lips curled up in anger.

At this moment, the knock on the door rang again and Mina hurriedly walked in, carrying high heels in her hands.

“President, here are your high heels.”

When Mina saw Wynn in the room, she was speechless. She wanted to help Dylan keep it a secret, but she didn’t expect that she would say words that even she didn’t understand what she was saying.

“High heels… you?” Wynn was stunned, opened his mouth, widened his eyes, and turned to look at Dylan.

“No.” Dylan growled, glaring at him.

“I won’t tell anyone. Please believe me. Just feel free to try on high heels. But it looks smaller than your foot.”

“Wynn.”

Hearing Dylan shout, Wynn immediately ran straight, almost bumping into Mina. And Mina stood motionless. It seems there is a slight misunderstanding here.

At first, she felt sorry for Lyle for helping Dylan, but now she feels more sorry for Dylan.
