Chapter 28: I'll Let Go Of The Ye Group
Looking at the unpredictable man in front of her, Linda shook her head subconsciously.
"No." Cecil's eyes flickered with curiosity.
"Why not? Don't you like me?"
"Mr.Bo, please just...calm down," Linda stammered.
She wished she could put some distance between them, but with her back pressed against the door, there was nowhere to go.
Cecil chuckled. When he spoke next, his voice was sweet and alluring, but at the same time...dangerous.
"Don't I look calm enough?"
Frowning, Linda looked into his eyes and reminded him, "I'm not Leona.I just have the same face as her.Don't let yourself pretend that I'm her just because you miss her."
"When did I ever say that?" Cecil sneered.
"Fine, you never said that. But how can you sleep with a woman you don't even like? You're just playing with me."
Linda's lips pressed together into a tight line, as if she was trying not to cry.
"You think...I'm playing with you?"
The countless mischievous questions from Cecil made Linda sure that he was flirting with her for a purpose: to see her make a fool of herself.
She swallowed hard and tried to turn her face away to avoid his piercing gaze as well as his breath, which flitted across her lips.
However, the strength of his big palm made it impossible for her to break free from his grip.
Sensing her futile efforts, Cecil brought his face even closer to hers, until their lips were almost touching.
When the gap was less than a centimeter, he stopped, and his breath rushed into her mouth as he asked, "Miss Ye, are you unwilling to cooperate with me?"
Linda didn't know how to reply.
Of course a part of her wanted him, but she couldn't bring herself to accept his advances under such a circumstance.
Her face went as red as a tomato. She had never seen anyone who could talk about such a thing casually.
Ticked off by her silence, Cecil pressed his fingers on her cheek and asked, "Say it! Are you willing or not?" NôvelDrama.Org content.
The emotions Linda was trying to suppress almost bubbled up to the surface, flickering across her eyes.
"No."
"Really?"
"Really," she confirmed in a firmer tone.
Cecil stared at her wordlessly for a moment, and then scoffed.
All of a sudden, he let go of her and stepped back, putting considerable distance between them.
Linda's back slumped against the door and she tried to steady her disorderly breathing.
Her eyes darted around nervously as she tried to calm herself down.
Cecil's eyes darkened as he watched her skittish movements.
Looking at her carefully, he parted his thin lips once again and said, "What if I say that if you cooperate with me and satisfy me in this regard, I'll let go of the Ye Group? Would you be willing then?"
Hearing his tempting offer, Linda slowly raised her head.
She studied his face carefully, but it was impossible for her to tell what he was thinking at this moment.
Anyway, no matter what he had on his mind, she had to give him an answer.
While she was hesitating, Cecil said again, "You keep wasting my time. After a minute, it won't matter what kind of answer you give me, because I will change my mind."
Looking at the handsome but shrewd man standing in front of her, Linda bit her lower lip.
Finally, she said, "If you can guarantee that you'll let go of the Ye Group, I'll be willing to do anything for you."
"Including sleeping with me?"
With a determined expression on her face, she replied, "Of course."
That seemed to be all the answer that Cecil needed.
He chuckled lightly and said, "Come here."
Clenching her hands to keep herself from trembling, Linda walked towards him step by step.
When their bodies were almost touching, she stopped, keeping her head down.
She was so close to Cecil that if she raised her head while he lowered his, their lips would inevitably touch.
However, she didn't dare to make a single movement.
Cecil, on the other hand, was watching her carefully with squinted eyes.
There was an unreadable expression on his face as he slowly lowered his head.
Although he was closing the distance between them, there wasn't the slightest trace of tenderness on his face.
On the contrary, he looked very cold…
