Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 389

Miranda had just received the address when she set out to find Sebastian. As she stepped out, she bumped into Carter. His flashy Rolls-Royce was parked as if demanding to be noticed. Spotting Miranda pulling out of the driveway, Carter waved energetically, his silver hair catching the light and his grin as wide as a kid who had just discovered an extra scoop of ice cream at a birthday party.

"Hey!!" he shouted with enthusiasm. But before he could say more, Miranda's car sped past him, leaving his hand suspended awkwardly in mid-air. His smile faded as he called out again, “Sis!” But she was already disappearing down the road, her car picking up speed.

Carter frowned, perplexed by her hurry. He had a new mission from his uncle: to forge a close bond with Miranda and become her most cherished brother. Initially, this task was a bit unsettling, especially since he had once harbored different feelings towards her. However, he quickly adapted. A sibling relationship was more enduring, allowing him to stay by Miranda's side indefinitely.

Today was meant for bonding. Even though he had known her for a while, he hadn't yet visited her home. He thought perhaps he could wait for her there. So, he got out of his car and rang the doorbell.

Miranda noticed Carter but was too preoccupied to stop. She figured if it were urgent, he would have made more effort. She drove straight to the address Sebastian had sent her, conveniently close at just a twenty-minute drive.

Upon arriving at the Everhart estate, Miranda couldn't help but be impressed by their wealth. Her own estate was primarily for cultivating medicinal herbs, but the Everhart property looked like something out of a medieval fantasy, with opulent materials in abundance. The towering Roman columns at the entrance alone hinted at its immense value.

"Ms. Lancaster, this way please, Mr. Everhart is expecting you," the butler greeted her politely, leading her inside.

The staff in the garden seemed

surprised to see Miranda. She was,

after all, the first young woman to

visit the

estate in recent memory,

and her striking looks caugh@more

than a few curious glances.

"Is our young master finally going to act like a hero from a romance novel?" one whispered.

"A young woman visiting... this is new."

"Do you think the master will smile today?"

"Should I deliver a line? I've watched enough short dramas; I've got experience," another chuckled softly.

Though theirnoveldrama

ryoices were hushed,

Miranda found she could hear them

clearly. Her hearing had been

unusually sharp lately, pickingmet ́

even the faintest sounds from a distance. Could she really hear that welf now? It was a curious

realization. But their comments did make her chuckle internally. Was every wealthy household plagued by drama-obsessed staff?

"Our young master was quite excited when he heard you were coming Ms. Lancaster," the butler continued with

a warm smile. "He even had refreshments specially prepared for your visit."

Just then, one of the earlier staff members passed by, looking frustrated, clearly

wishing she had been the one to deliver that line.
