Invincible Heir

Chapter 38 A surprising choice

Chapter 38 A surprising choice

But it was too late!

At this moment, Ewin walked toward Baron and said in a humble look, “Mr. Owen, I am such a fool to

bother you. I beg for your forgiveness.”“No need to apologize. A minute ago, you just thought I’m a lazy

freeloader.” Baron shot him a disgusted look.

Ewin was irritated by Baron’s attitude, but he tried to hold back his anger.

Seeing that, Edward and Camel knew what had happened between the two men. “Did you insult Mr.

Owen? How dare you! Get out of here!” Edward shouted to Ewin.

Ewin was startled by the words, “Mr. Lewis, I didn't do it on purpose. Forgive me please! I'm so sorry,”

he begged.

“You didn't hear? Mr. Lewis told you to leave!” Camel said coldly.

“Camel, the cooperation between Brone Group and…” Before Ewin finished his sentence, Camel

interrupted, “Don't even think about the cooperation. I don’t want to waste my time on you. Go back

where you came from! We will never cooperate with Reflix.”

“The same is true of Lewis family.” Edward said.

It seemed Edward set off a bomb in the room. Immediately, everyone was buzzing about his words.

The richest family and Brone Group declared in unison that they wouldn’t cooperate with Reflix Group

forever!

It looked as if Reflix wouldn't get the chance to cooperate with Brone forever. At this thought, a deep

sense of despair overwhelmed Ewin. He had put great effort to facilitate the cooperation, but he failed

in the end just because he offended Baron unconsciously. The cooperation was designed by Reflix’s

leaders to open a new market in Cona.

He was only one step away from success. How was he supposed to face his boss? Of course, he

would be punished, despite the fact that his father-in-law was the associate general manager of Reflix

Group.

Louis was worried about him and said hurriedly, “How could you do that? Camel. You can’t change your

mind for these trifles. You have promised to my father about the cooperation.”

“Who's your father? I never promised anything,” said Camel impatiently. He knew it very well that Ewin

got into a big trouble and he didn't want to be involved.

“My father is Jared, the associate general manager of Reflix Group.” Whenever Louis spoke of her

father, she was proud.

“A leader of a small company was nothing to speak of.” Camel looked at Louis with great contempt,

and continued, “Get out of here if you don’t want your father to lose his job!”

The words seemed to inflame Louis, she just wanted to argue back, but Ewin pulled her away.

“Why did you drag me out?” Louis was furious.

“Don't you get it? You shouldn’t underestimate Camel. Yes, he is only a general manager of a branch

company under Brone Group, but don’t forget, he has Brone Group on his side. If I hadn’t taken you

out, your father would have been expelled,” Ewin explained.

“I think you're overreacting.” Louis appeared a little unnerved.

“Do you know Eight Clans of Donas?” Ewin asked.

“Of course! They are Top 8 clans in Donas. Each family is of unimaginable power.” In fact, Louis was a

little confused that why Ewin mentioned Eight Clans of Donas out of the blue.

“Brone is part of Owen family, one of the Eight Clans of Donas. Compared with Brone, Reflix is

extremely small. So, no more messing with Camel, because we are no match for him.” Ewin continued

to explain.

After hearing this, Louis finally realized she almost got into a big trouble. Now she was more worried

about the future of Reflix and his father.

Baron was still in Spring Garden Restaurant. He tucked into the food with zest and the others, including

Edward and Camel, watched him standing still, speechless.

Seeing the two big shots standing in front of her, Yuri clenched the arms of her chair anxiously.

“I'm stuffed. And you?” said Baron, wiping his mouth.

Yuri gave him a glare. Didn’t he see she was in pain? Accompanied by the two very important men,

she, a mere nobody, was too nervous to eat.

“Well. I construe your silence as a yes. We'll be off, then.” Baron said and stood up.

As Baron walked towards the door, Edward and Camel followed in a hurry. But Baron shot them a black

look and they stopped immediately.

Yuri didn’t breathe a sigh of relief until they walked out of the restaurant.

“Thank you for your invitation. Can I go now?” Baron asked.

Yuri looked at the man in front of her with amazement. After today's events, she found that she barely

knew about him.

Last time in Starry Garden Hotel, Edward told her that those expensive gifts came from Baron. In fact,

she should have been aware that Baron was extraordinary.

And not long agon, she met him in Brone, in addition, Edward and Camel were respectful to him. All

those things made her more certain of her thought.

Thinking about this, Yuri studied Baron meticulously.

“Why are you staring at me like that? Are you in love with me?” Baron joked.

“What nonsense! Get away from me!” She looked a bit embarrassed. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Okay. I'm going right now.” Then he went away.

Yuri watched Baron walking out of sight and murmured, “Who the hell are you?”

Under the pretense of building a closer relationship with his daughter Lara, Baron had a chance to

skype with Tracy every night recently. For this reason, their relationship improved immensely.

And now, Baron was waiting for Tracy by the gate of Samho. Soon, Tracy walked out of the building,

tired.

Baron was halfway toward Tracy before a luxury car stopped right in front of her. A young man stepped

out of the car.

Baron recognized him. It was Joker. When Baron just returned to Cona, he had met the guy in Perry

courtyard. And Sherry, Tracy’s mother, did everything to bring Tracy and Joker together.

Joker walked towards Tracy, with a bunch of red roses.

“Joker! What are you doing here?” She asked in surprise.

“Tracy, I love you. Without you, I'd be a soul without a purpose. Without you, I'd be an emotion without

a heart. I'm a face without expression, a heart with no beat. Without you by my side, I'm just a flame

without the heat.” Joker recited the poem of Elle Kimberly Schmick in one breath.

Then he got down on one knee and raised the roses, “Tracy, I finally got the courage to tell you, I want

to be with you till the end! Would you like to be my girlfriend?”

After work, the employees left through the front door and saw the declaration of love to Qin Xi. Then

many of them crowded around her, teasing and taunting.

Tracy shook with great humiliation and anger and said irritably, “Joker! Didn’t I tell you clearly before? I

am already married. There is no way for me to accept your love in this life.”

But Joker pressed on with his teeth gritted, “Tracy, that guy is a useless git! He let you wait for him for

five years. Do you know how important five years are for a young woman? Why would you let a man

like that keep you?! He is out of your league!”

“Shut up! Baron is not what you think about.” Tracy said, quivering with anger.

Not far away, Baron watched them quietly. He was terribly touched by Tracy’s words.

“Tracy, Baron is nothing but garbage. You deserve a better man. Be with me and you will become the

happiest woman in the world,” Joker continued sincerely.

Just then, Baron appeared by Joker’s side with a wildflower in his hand, which he had just picked

beside the road. With all those eyes watching, he gave it to Tracy and said, “This is for you!”

“It's you!” Joker stared furiously at Baron and the flower in his hand.

The onlookers burst into laughers with surprise after seeing the wildflower in Baron’s hand.

“Ha ha, he looks like a clown.”

“I bet the flower is just picked somewhere outside!”

“What a shame! How can a pathetic pauper with a wild flower compete with a wealthy guy driving the

luxury car with nine hundred ninety-nine roses?”

But while the people were still sneering at the wildflower he had given her, she took it, breathed in its

perfume, and broke out into a smile, “The flower smells wonderful. I like it!”

Looking at this, the crowd was all startled, speechless.
