He doesn’t even put me in my own seat , he climbs in behind the wheel with me , holding me as if I might break if he lets me go .

My back presses into the steering wheel as he halts in front of the hospital and when we get out , there’s a gurney already waiting for me .

As they roll me into a room and my doctor immediately arrives , “Shall I make this your second room ?” She jokes and I smile , giggling but it turns into a horrifying groaning sound .

“Let’s see .” She opens my robe around my stomach and squeezes gel onto it before scanning it .

“What’s wrong ?” I ask , my voice high and my heart rate out of control .

“Am I going to loss the baby ?” I continue to panic .

“Relax , he’s just kicking .” She smiles and my eyes widen , “He has feet ?” My eyebrows raise , “Yes .” She smiles , “And it’s a boy ?” My eyes start to tear up .

“Indeed .” She wipes the gel off my stomach , “And he is healthy , don’t worry that much , alright ?”

“Can I feel ?” Aiden suddenly asks and it’s like my heart is exploding with serotonin as he steps closer , standing shirtless next to me , reaching for my bump .

“Yeah .” I reach for his hand and I rest mine on top of his , placing his palm where the little boy is kicking my ribs out .

The absentminded smile that crosses his face makes me want to break out into a sob , but I stay strong when I see his orbs glass over .

“It’s amazing , right ?” Tears form in my eyes and I can’t stop them from falling .

My emotions are all over the place .

He nods , dragging his free hand through his raven locks , “It’s magical .” He murmurs .

Even if he hated Regan , I believe that he will love this child like his own…

“You’re more than half way there , so stay safe and healthy , got it ?” The doctor demands and I nod .

I can not believe that weeks and months go by so fast .

“I think I should stop the end of the month parties until the baby is here .” Aiden mutters as we drive back home , practically idling all the way .

“No , I can still do it . I’ll sit on the bed while you rub my feet , I’ll make calls while you bring me everything to eat , I can do it . I want to .” I smile and as he puts the car in park in front of the house , he stares at me dumbfounded .

“What ?” I giggle .

“I’m just really proud of you .” His smile is sincere and loving .

“Me too . But don’t take the party away , everyone loves it and maybe we can make next week’s party theme blue and let the pack know that we are having a boy .” I beam and he chuckles , “Your mind is amazing. It sounds perfect .” He grins and I didn’t actually think it would work , but it just did .

“I really am sorry it’s not yours .” I rest my hand over his and he shrugs , “It will be because I am going to be the dad .”

The joy in his eyes are undeniable .

“Oeh .” I blow out a breath as I hold my stomach , “Is he kicking again ?” He chuckles as if this were a joke , but it really does sting .

“Yeah .” I roll my eyes as I open the door , the cool breeze kissing my hot skin as I climb out .

“Be careful .” He rushes out and around the car , grabbing my hand .

“I can walk Aiden .” I snap at him unexpectedly , I gasp , my hand raising to my mouth , “I’m sorry , I didn’t mean to do that .” I shake my head and instead of frowning at me like I expected him to do , he smiles as he cups my face .

“I know , you’re emotional .” He shrugs and I guess by all the crying after I laugh at a joke and being angry when he’s nice to me over the weeks I have been here and learned I was pregnant has taught him how emotional I am .

“Still , I am sorry .” I sigh and he k****s my temple , smiling like he’s the real father and I guess in a way , he is .

He will raise this kid just to be as good as an alpha as he is , he will treat him like his own , they will go hunting together , have the talk with him , play soccer and teach him responsibilities that only a man needs to know .

The rumbling of my stomach when we enter the house makes me freeze and I glance down , “Did the baby just growl at us ?” I ask and he burst out in a fit of laughter , his head lols back as he holds his stomach , the sound being so joyful , yet annoying .

“That was all you babe .” He chuckles , letting out a deep sigh as he stops .

“I didn’t growl .” I scoff , “When last did you eat ?” He asks and realization sets in that I only ate at the picnic today , and not a lot either .

“At the picnic .” I shrug and he tuts , leaning forward and he grabs my hand , “What do you want to eat ?” He asks and I roll my eyes .

“I don’t know .” I whine like a kid , feeling embarrassed about it .

He lifts me onto the counter with a grunt , smiling , “How about you guess what I am making you ?” I could hear the grin in his voice as he has his back turned to me , opening the fridge , “Pizza ?” I ask and he claps his hands , “Yes . Good guess .” He murmurs and I feel like something is up , like there’s something he isn’t telling me .

“Aiden .” I drag his name out and he turns , looking at me with arched brows , “Why did you say it like that ?” I ask and his brows furrow , “I don’t know what you mean .” He shrugs and my tongue clicks as I shake my head at him , “Liar .” I toss a grape from the fruit bowl at him , making him gasp over dramatically .

“How dare you ? Those are good grapes .” He squats to pick it up , rinsing it under the tap before popping it into his mouth .

He grabs a frozen pizza from the double door freezer and peels the plastic off before popping it into the already heated oven .

I glare at him all the way as he takes out a plate , grabs a glass and fills it with water , placing it in front of me .

“Go ahead , drink some because if you haven’t eaten , you clearly didn’t drink anything either .”

I gulp the glass of water down effortlessly , only realizing then how thirsty I was .

“Thanks .” I mutter and he rinses the glass before putting it onto the drying rack next to the sink .

As we wait for the pizza to heat and cook , he stands between my parted knees , his hands rested on either side of my body on the counter .

“You know…” he takes one hand , tugging at the knotted strings of my robe , loosening it , “I think the baby kicked because your body liked how you felt .” He loosens it completely , letting it fall open and the way his baby blue orbs trail my body has me sucking in a strong breath .
