Chapter 39
‘It’s her, the interesting beauty on the rooftop,’ Dillan mused and immediately stopped.
Gilda’s languid voice echoed through the bar as she was singing the famous song Young and Beautiful.
She was sitting on the stool, with a beam of light on her beautiful face. Her hair was swaying and her red lips were so charming. She seemed to be a fairy leading her audience through time and space with her captivating voice.
Hearing the song, Dillan thought of Gilda crying on the balcony.
That night, her eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and tears glistened in her eyes. Dillan was entranced by her heart–breaking beauty, lost in thought as he unwittingly gazed at Gilda with a dull stare.
Dillan’s thoughts drifted away.
“Honey, it’s so emotional that I could have cried! Change to a cheerful song!” Megan shouted under the
stage.
Gilda looked down at Megan and winked at her. Then she said, “No problem. Here we go.”
Then Gilda began to sing Les Champs–Elysées.
Gilda sang with a bright smile and playfully tap danced, exuding joy and vibrant energy.
The lyrics were playful and lovely, and the style of the song was free and easy. People followed the melody to move pleasantly, feeling warm and happy. The audience below all sang with smiles. For a time, the atmosphere in the bar was extremely good.
Dillan seemed to have been taken back to the avenues with plane trees in Frencia again, and he seemed to see the scene of himself walking hand in hand with Gilda.
Dillan was completely attracted to Gilda. He had never seen a woman so different and wonderful as to capture his soul.
There was a voice inside Dillan. ‘Dillan! It’s her! You fell in love with her at first sight! She is the most gorgeous goddess! You will be happy to be with her!‘
At the end of the song, everyone applauded Gilda’s performance.
Megan even shouted, “You’re awesome, honey!” It was rare for Yadira to clap with a smile.
Dillan calmed down and made sure that there was no problem with his appearance. Then he was about to come forward and say hello, but Jensen pushed the door open drunkenly and lay on Dillan’s back.
Jensen was drunk. He raised his arm weakly, pointed at Gilda on the stage, and asked Dillan, “Isn’t she beautiful? She’s my wife.”
After saying that, Jensen lowered his head heavily and seemed to fall asleep.
“Jensen, are you daydreaming? How could you cheat on your wife and get a divorce if she was so
beautiful?” Dillan moved his shoulder to confirm Jensen’s condition. “If she were my wife, I couldn’t imagine how happy I would be,” Dillan murmured.
He totally took Jensen’s words for a bunch of bullshit. “She’s my goddess. Don’t say that again, okay?” Dillan
said.
Jensen has been asleep for a long time. How could he hear Dillan’s words?
Dillan’s gaze had been fixed on Gilda.
With such a drunkard on his back, if Dillan came to say hello to Gilda at this time, it would be inappropriate. After thinking for a while, Dillan gave up and helped Jensen back to the private room.
After handing Jensen to Kylan and others, Dillan ran out for Gilda.
However, he found that the person on the stage had changed. Dillan looked for his goddess everywhere, only to find that she had already left.
The urge to see Gilda again grew stronger in Dillan’s heart.
Then Dillan eagerly dialed his assistant’s number and said, “Investigate the whereabouts of the woman named Gilda Lynch in Allath.”
The next morning, Gilda’s assistant pushed open her office door.
“Ms. Lynch, someone sent an oversized bouquet of roses downstairs and asked you to get it yourself,” the assistant said.
Gilda raised her beautiful eyes, unable to think who could have sent the flowers.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
