His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0039

"I have a reservation." Amara stated and watched as the woman opened a book, running her finger through the pages before she stopped. "You're Miss Amara?" She asked.

"That's me."

"Your reservation is ready. Please follow me."

Amara did and soon, the receptionist was leading her into the dining area of the restaurant. Amara kept her eyes open and the moment she spotted Bethany seated alone, she abandoned the receptionist and cautiously approached her target. "Hello," She called, smiling when Bethany looked up. "You're Bethany Sinclair, the Ambassador of Rotaine, right?"

Bethany's brows arched at the question. "I am."

Amara's smile brightened. "Then I must have the right person. You see, I've been a fan of all the products you've advertised for quite a while now, and I can't believe that I finally have the chance to meet you, Ms. Sinclair." "You...are?" Bethany was taken back by the sudden praise, not to mention the fact that Amara was staring at her with such admiration in her eyes.

"Of course. You're an icon, the first female ambassador for Rotaine and a great one at that. May I...seat?"

"Yes, yes of course." Bethany said, watching as Amara pulled the seat across her and sat down.

"Oh, where are my manners?" Amara said. "I forgot to introduce myself."

"Amara," She held out her hand. "Amara Miller, the current branch manager of Synergy."

"It's nice to meet you, Ms. Miller."

"Please just call me Amara, it'd be a dream to be called causally by the great ambassador of Rotaine."

Bethany giggled and shook her head. "You're a flatterer."

"Am I? I've only told the truth. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting to see you here today. It was a surprise, but a good one. You see, I came here to have lunch with a friend, but they cancelled last minute." "Ah, then I'm sorry you came all the way here for nothing."

"Not exactly." Amara said. "It's not for nothing, especially not as I've met you." She smiled. "Might have lunch with me, Mrs. Sinclair?"

A few minutes into her lunch with Bethany, Amara had discovered that the other woman was a kind and polite individual.

She wasn't snobby, nor was she arrogant. In fact, she was the exact opposite. She was soft spoken, polite and very easy to talk to.

Coincidentally she and Amara also

happened to have many things in common. Their taste in food, clothing and music was similar and when they were on the topic of their family, Amara listened intently to all she had to say about her mother, Gemini.

"Madam Sinclair sounds like a nice person, I wish I could meet her at some point."

"Now that you mentioned it, I think my mother's undergoing some project cooperation or such with Synergy Bethany said, taking a sip of her water. "I'm actually meant to meet with her in a little while, do you want to join in?"

Amara smiled and shook her head. "I wouldn't want to impose."

"Nonsense! You helped me have a lovely meal for once in a long while, I'd like to return the favor. Consider it as a helping hand from a friend." Well that was quite easy, Amara thought with a smile.

"Alright then, if it won't be much trouble."

Glancing at her watch, Bethany said. "Well then, we best leave now if we want to meet mother."

Amara nodded and stood up. "Then let's not waste time."

Just as they both turned to leave, a familiar voice called out to Bethany.

"Bethany!"

Both female turned around to see Jasper Reynolds approaching.

"Jasper, what a pleasant surprise." Bethany greeted with a smile, oblivious to the irritated look on Amara's face.

"I hope you've had a good meal."

"I did." She glanced at Amara, smiling.

"Ah, I see you've met the president's special one!"

Bethany's eyes narrowed. "Pardon? Isn't Ms. Miller the manager of your branch?"All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

"She is, but, don't act as if you don't know how she got that position. You know," He leaned in and whispered, but it was loud enough for Amara to hear "Don't you know that Ms. Miller is the president's side girl."
