Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 368

No one saw it coming-the chaos hit them like a bolt from the blue. Just as they were about to step into the restaurant, two men burst out of nowhere.

Both were clad in black masks and caps, blending into the shadows. The taller of the two had a ripped build, tattoos winding around his muscular arms under a white tee. His partner was shorter, less imposing but no less threatening.

Allison and Brooklyn were quick on their feet, sidestepping the sudden threat.

"Boss, stay back! I got this. You get them out of here!" Brooklyn called out, deftly dodging a knife swipe from the muscular guy and landing a solid punch on his jaw.

Joy and Breanna were frozen in fear, faces pale as sheets. Memories of a past incident at Summit & Vale Solicitors, where a knife-wielding maniac had almost struck, came rushing back for Joy, paralyzing her with dread.

Allison, eyes sharp and focused, grabbed Joy and Breanna, urging, "Run for it!!!"

Snapping back to reality, Joy followed Allison's lead. Breanna, shaken to her core, wobbled in her high heels. Within moments, her ankle gave way, sending her sprawling to the ground.

Brooklyn, locked in combat with the two men, quickly realized they weren't your run-of-the-mill troublemakers. These guys were clearly trained mercenaries. But Brooklyn had tangled with mercenaries before, and she wasn't backing down.

The shorter man spotted Breanna on the ground and seized the chance to bolt towards Allison and Breanna.noveldrama

"Breanna, can you get up?" Allison asked, urgency in her voice.

"It's killing me," Breanna replied, struggling to stand with Allison's help, unable to put weight on her injured foot.

The shorter man closed in, knife in hand, aiming for Breanna.

Without a second thought, Allison shoved Breanna aside and took on the assailant herself.

Breanna landed on the grassy verge, watching in shock as Allison fought back with unexpected prowess. But the moment for surprise was brief, pain from her ankle and fear washed over her, sweat beading on her brow.

Joy rushed to Breanna's side, "Breanna, we have to move."

Breanna, grimacing in pain, said, "I can't walk."

"I'll help you."

Joy helped Breanna up and immediately reached for her phone to call the police. Others around them were already dialing for help.

Brooklyn, having dealt with the muscular mercenary, noticed Allison in trouble. With a fierce kick, she sent the man flying and dashed to assist Allison.

Allison was skilled, but her opponent was no slouch. After a few exchanges, she realized he was more than just a street thug-he was trained, sharper than any bodyguard she'd faced before.

Allison was losing ground.

As the knife lashed out, aiming for her heart, a hand clamped onto the attacker's wrist, squeezing until pain flickered across his face.

Brooklyn arrived just in time, averting disaster.

Thanks to the angle, Allison managed to evade a fatal blow her heart, but the knife still grazed her painfully, risking her ability to fend off further attacks.

Within moments, Brooklyn had the shorter man subdued, the knife now held firmly at his throat. If not for the public setting and the laws holding her back, she might have ended him right there.

The muscular thug, seeing his partner captured, turned tail and ran.

Brooklyn smirked, "Rookie mistake."

Calmly, she pulled a vial from her pocket, snapped it open, and dabbed the liquid on the knife.

In the blink of an eye, she hurled the knife with uncanny precision.

The blade spun through the air, striking the fleeing man in the calf Trained as he was, he didn't make a sound, but he didn't get far before collapsing.

Brooklyn chuckled, "No amount of training stands up to a good dose of sedative."

The subdued man attempted to escape, but Brooklyn tightened her grip, knocking him out cold.

"Boss, are you okay?" Brooklyn asked, her usually stoic face showing rare concern.

Allison let out a breath, shaking her head, "I'm okay."

Suddenly, an eerie chill ran down Allison's spine, like a sixth sense. She shivered as if her instincts were screaming at her.

Before she could pinpoint the cause, she saw it—a black handgun emerging from behind a nearby statue.

"BANG!" The gunshot shattered the air.

Almost instinctively, Allison yelled, "Look out!" and pushed Joy out of harm's way.

The bullet hit Allison, numbing her at first.

Then the searing pain spread from the wound, making her legs buckle beneath her.

"Boss!" Brooklyn cried, rushing to catch Allison as she fell.
