Chapter 68
Third person POV
Commotion filled the air, as everyone scrambled and took various directions as they made way for the three brothers who had quickly transformed into their wolf form, running towards the direction that Noah had taken and were now tracking down Jasmine’s scent.
Noah’s presence had caused everyone to be in a state of unrest. Everywhere became rowdy, with people screaming in fear.
A sense of panic, urgency, and anger could be felt from the Alphas as they sprinted as fast as they could, trying not to lose track of her scent.
The atmosphere was tense and filled with uncertainty, as everyone tried to make sense of the chaotic situation as they had not expected Noah to suddenly pop out of the crowd and abduct their Luna.
“Everyone gets into the pack-house now, we’ll handle this,” Samuel said as he guided the rest of the pack to safety.
He was worried about Jasmine and wished instead to join the search for his daughter, however, he trusted her mates to find her and focused on protecting the most vulnerable ones in the pack.
Samuel was well aware of the way rogues operated, they were ruthless and showed no form of empathy. They would go after the vulnerable ones in the pack and hurt them just to make a statement.
Somewhere in the woods, Jasmine suddenly regained consciousness as she felt her head bump into a hard surface, it took her a few moments to fully process why everything was moving so fast.
She then remembered that she was abducted by Noah, and as she registered that he was carrying her away from her mates, she used her strength to try to struggle against his grip but he was stronger.
She thought about the bad feeling she was nursing earlier about Noah planning something sinister against them.
‘Keep me down, you a**hole,’ she screamed while hitting him on his back, desperately trying to break free from his hold. “What do you want from me?…put me down” she kept yelling.
Then he dropped her on the floor harshly angrily which caused her a lot of pain. She looked around the surrounding area and noticed that there was a clear lake right in front of them.
“Just shut up, okay…don’t even try to act difficult because it won’t end well,” he said in a hushed whisper as he glared at her.
He turned around and ran his hand through his hair frustratedly, Jasmine took this as an opportunity to sprint away from him in the opposite direction. However, she couldn’t get far enough as he was faster than her, and he quickly caught up to her.
She knew Noah was dangerous and if she wasn’t swift in plotting her escape, Noah would kill her or do something else that would scar her for life.
“Let go of me,” she struggled to say, as she desperately tried to get his hands off her, but he refused to let go. She fought hard to get his hands off her causing them to crash into a tree, and she fell heavily onto the ground, as he pinned her down with his body. She started to become frantic, as she clawed his face with her already elongated claws.
Suddenly, Jasmine felt Noah’s weight being lifted off her. She took the opportunity and kicked him in the balls, causing him to let out a painful roar as he was struck with pain and hit a nearby tree with great force.
Calix quickly transformed into his human form and went over to Jasmine, “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” He asked, scanning her body for injuries, and heaved a sigh of relief when he found none.
She shook off the last remnants of dirt as he helped her get up saying “I’m okay, he didn’t hurt me.” With a sigh of relief, she smiled, grateful that they had been there to save her.
“Where’s Noah?” Jasmine asked, lifting her head as she looked in the direction where he once was, causing Calix to look around for him, only to realize that he was gone.
Ethan caught up with them, looking visibly furious. “Where’s that a**hole?” he asked. Calix replied.
“I have no idea.” Ethan got even more pissed and replied,
“Great, just great.” They all looked around frantically, trying to determine Noah’s whereabouts but it seemed like he just disappeared.
They were about to deal with him again, and they wanted to prepare the necessary measures in case he decided to come after Jasmine again.
“Let’s get you back home,” Ethan said as he held Jasmine close to him.
Jasmine was already fed up with the attacks from Noah, she wished they could kill him once and for all, so everything would be back to normal.Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
They made their way back to the pack-house, and as they got closer, they noticed the concerned looks on everyone’s faces. Ethan turned to his father and asked,
“We brought Jasmine back. Why do you all look so worried?”
“Mia… He took Mia” Devon replied, his face solemn, as he turned to Ethan. “We didn’t realize it till she was gone, we’re searching everywhere for her.”
“What? What do you mean he took Mia?” Jasmine screamed as she couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her face went pale, and she began to panic. ‘Which direction did he take?’ she asked frantically.
Before he could reply, Denver interjected, saying to the guards present. “I need everyone to spread out and search for her. He mustn’t have gotten far enough.”
With renewed energy and determination, people went in different directions, trying to find Mia and Noah, who had disappeared.
Everyone was worried, as Noah’s intentions were unknown and he might try to harm her to get back at them. They hoped to quickly find them before anything happened or they were too far away.
While searching for Mia, Jasmine passed by an old room in the house that seemed abandoned, she immediately heard muffled sounds to her left, and she got closer only to notice Mia struggling against Noah’s grip.
She quickly sent a mind link to her mates, telling them where she was and that she had found them.
As if sensing her presence, Noah looked up and smiled in a deranged and sinister way.
‘Don’t you try anything smart, or I won’t hesitate to end your beloved friend,’ he threatened, his tone ominous and filled with seriousness.
Mia struggled to free herself from his hold, she kicked him and even bore her fangs in his skin. But he didn’t budge. However, he was thinking of a plan, because Mia was too strong for him to hold on to any longer.
He hadn’t expected her to be as fierce as she was. He thought due to her size, she was the weakest amongst them and that was why he chose to prey on her, but now that she gave him a hard time, he thought of a means of escape, cause he needed to leave as quickly as possible. He just needed to hold on to her for a while, she was his getaway card.
He didn’t think properly before coming here, all he knew was he wanted to wreak havoc in their pack. Now he was stuck and needed a means to escape.
His mother was also there, she had warned him to be careful with whatever he was doing, but he was too focused on his revenge to follow reason.
The Alphas finally arrived and stood next to Jasmine, ready to protect her.
‘Stay away from her now,’ Ethan commanded, ‘Don’t try to hide behind her. If you’re looking for a fight, you should focus on us. He continued, trying to provoke Noah, but the latter ignored him and replied, ‘I don’t care if I use a child to get what I want ‘
Ethan was about to attack Noah, but before he could do anything, Calix stepped in and held him back. “Let’s be rational,” he told him in the mind link.
Noah was so focused on Ethan and Calix that he didn’t notice Zane sneaking up from behind him. The moment he heard a stick creak, he turned just in time for Zane to kick him with great force, making him collide with the wall.
He slowly rose to his feet, b***d dripping from his mouth, as he wiped it away with his sleeve. He suddenly threw a tiny device on the ground covering the place with fog.
As the thick fog slowly dispersed, they noticed Noah holding Jasmine, with a knife pressed against her throat. He looked at them, his expression determined, and said, “Step back or I’ll kill her, and I’m not joking.”
Zane quickly replied, trying to calm him down. “Noah, don’t do anything stupid.”
Before they could react, Noah injected a syringe into Jasmine’s body, and she suddenly collapsed unconscious. The next minute he was gone.
