Taylor was displeased with his attitude and said, "Theodore, let me be clear, if you want to remarry Phoebe, I won't stop you, but I have conditions."

Theodore said nothing.

Taylor continued, "The triplets are not children of the Reynolds family. If you want to remarry, you must sign an agreement that the triplets will not inherit any property from the Reynolds family."

"Mom!" Theodore's expression turned visibly unhappy.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Phoebe coming out of the kitchen. She must have heard their conversation, and his face darkened even more.

Phoebe indeed heard what Taylor said, and she couldn't quite describe her feelings. It was understandable for Taylor to think that way.

After all, the kids had nothing to do with the Reynolds family, and they wouldn't inherit any property from the Reynolds family. However, Taylor's mention of it made it seem like they were after the Reynolds family's property.

She walked into the living room.

Taylor saw her and didn't feel awkward. She said, "Phoebe, you heard what I said just now. If you and Theodore remarry, this is my only condition."

Phoebe pursed her lips, "You're jumping to conclusions. Mr. Reynolds and I might not get back together."

Taylor's face changed slightly. She looked at Theodore, whose face also darkened. He said lightly, "You're definitely overthinking it."

Taylor looked at Phoebe and then at Theodore. She said, "I don't care about your current situation. My demand stands and will not change in the future."

Phoebe walked to the sofa, picked up her bag, and said, "I have something to do, so I'll leave now."

She turned and walked to the entrance, thought for a moment, and decided to say one more thing, "Taylor, although Superstar Entertainment doesn't earn as much as the Reynolds Group, and my net worth is not as high as Mr. Reynolds', I can still support the kids and ensure they have a worry-free future. Moreover, if Mr. Reynolds and I were to remarry, it would be because of our deep feelings for each other and our inability to be apart. After saying that, she turned and opened the door.

With a "bang," the door closed, and the living room fell into a deathly silence.

Theodore hadn't stopped Taylor earlier, and his expression wasn't good now either. He looked at Taylor and said, "Are you sure you're here to help me and not to cause trouble?"

Taylor said, "I'm doing this for your own good. Who knows if she would consider the triplets and force herself to reconcile with you?"

"Mom!" Theodore suddenly stood up, "Phoebe is not that kind of person."

When they divorced, he gave her money and a house, but she didn't take any of it. She had made up her mind to completely cut ties with him.

Now, she had Superstar Entertainment, so why would she covet the Reynolds Group?

If she had no feelings for him, even if he offered her shares of the Reynolds Group, she wouldn't be tempted to force herself to remarry him.

Taylor was left speechless by his reprimand. She huffed angrily, "Who knows? Anyway, I feel uncomfortable thinking about the triplets. Why didn't she have a child with you when you were together?"

Taylor's words hit a sensitive spot for Theodore. He closed his eyes, "I'm a bit tired. You and Riley should go back."

After saying that, he strode into the master bedroom. He didn't come out again until Taylor and Riley left.

Phoebe returned to the villa. Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were playing hide-and-seek in the yard. Ethan was counting with a blindfold on, while Hubert, Boris, and Noomi were finding places to hide.

When Ethan counted to ten, he took off the blindfold and looked around, "Are you all hidden? I'm coming to find you."

"We're hidden," three voices echoed from the yard, quickly revealing their hiding spots. Phoebe leaned against the door, watching Ethan pretend not to know where they were hiding, saying, "You hid so well, I can't find you."

Then Hubert, Boris, and Noomi jumped out of the darkness, laughing and shouting at Ethan. Children's happiness was so simple.

Phoebe's eyes welled up as she watched. She heard the sound of a door opening behind her and quickly blinked away the tears. She turned to see Ruby walking in.

Ruby's walking posture was a bit strange. Phoebe asked, "Ruby, what happened? Did you twist your ankle?"

Ruby's cheeks instantly turned red. She lowered her eyes, feeling a bit flustered, thinking about how Donovan had pinned her on the sofa. She was too embarrassed to lift her head.

"No, maybe I squatted too long while cleaning. I'll be fine after a while." Ruby avoided eye contact with Phoebe and explained in a barely audible voice.

Phoebe didn't think much of it and said, "Donovan is really too much. How could he make you clean for him?"noveldrama

Ruby quickly looked around, afraid Evelyn would hear their conversation. She whispered, "Phoebe, don't blame him. I did it willingly."

Phoebe looked at her and couldn't help but sigh.

Love humbles even the proudest of hearts. Thinking back to how Ruby used to be so proud, who would have thought she would now be willing to do housework to please Donovan?

"You need to stand up for yourself and not let him take advantage of you," Phoebe said.

Ruby still kept her head down. Phoebe inadvertently noticed ambiguous red marks on her neck and below her collar. She instantly realized they were hickeys.

Phoebe fell silent.

Alright, she was worrying for nothing. They were already intimate, but Ruby's neck marks couldn't be seen by Evelyn.

She said, "Ruby, let your hair down to cover it, so my mom doesn't see."

Ruby understood what she meant and blushed even more, "I, I know."

She quickly let her hair down to cover her neck. Hubert, Boris, Noomi, and Ethan saw them and ran over. Noomi ran ahead, hugging Phoebe's leg and acting cute, "Mom, you're finally home. I missed you so much."

"I missed you too," Boris said, followed by Hubert.

Phoebe looked down at them and suddenly remembered Taylor's words, feeling a sharp pain in her heart. She never regretted having Hubert, Boris, and Noomi. Now that they were seen as burdens by Taylor, she felt very uncomfortable. Noomi sensitively noticed Phoebe's mood, "Mom, are you unhappy?"

Phoebe smiled, "Mom is very happy. Noomi, are you happy today?"

"Yes, I helped Pamela make bread with my brothers, and we made little bunnies," Noomi said excitedly, showing how cute the little bunnies were.

Phoebe's unhappiness disappeared when she saw Hubert, Boris, and Noomi's smiling faces. She already had Hubert, Boris, and Noomi, so why would she need Theodore?
