Chapter 4 When You’ve Figured out It, Come Find Me
Chapter 4 When You’ve Figured out It, Come Find Me
The night before Khalid said that he confirmed her identity and now he couldn’t wait to see her. But she
was crying over money.
When she was a child she never cried, her eyes would go red and she would put on a hurt expression
but tears would never fall from her eyes. Only when she was acting coquettishly with him did she cry,
however this was just an act and not real crying. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
But this time she really cried, just like how she cried so miserably that day when he went to the
Chambers family and took her away.
Within the past 6 years she had changed a lot, to the extent that she was not what he remembered in
his memory. Before she had a well-rounded face, but now her face was a lot thinner than before and
her chin had also become pointier. However her skin was still as pale, the kind of healthy clear pale
skin that was very pleasing to the eye.
However entrenched on her face was a hideous scar that was the size of three fingers.
Apart from this one flaw, her eyes were still so clear as if she could see right through into someone’s
heart.
As he looked down, his gaze fell from her slender neck onto her collarbone. He noticed that the mole
she had on the left side was gone, however was now replaced with a scar.
“Mr Julian, you have known our situation. We can’t sell it, and I hope you are able to make an
exception.” Sadie was anxious under his gaze. Layers of sweat was already on his forehead; however
she was sitting upright and had no intention of cowering.
50 million could not only purchase the welfare home, but could also buy the land nearby. If he really
insisted to take the money to do this then she didn’t mind to turn a blind eye, since in any case she
didn’t write the IOU.
Julian put his hand down on the armrest of the wooden sofa, tapped his fingers a few times on the
armrest and then said casually, “Why should I have to make an exception?”
Sadie was so dumbfounded she almost blurted out, “Because you are such a fool and burn through so
much money.”
Then at this moment, the door of the reception room was opened and a young man wearing a
handmade suit walked in.
The man had regular features however the expression on his face was as cold as Julian’s which made
people afraid to look at him directly.
It was Khalid from the night before who wrote her a cheque at the hospital. Sadie looked away
unperturbed and then heard the man’s voice full of respect, “Master Julian.”
“Go to the car and get me a bottle of water.” Julian raised his eyes and said coolly.
Khalid nodded and then walked out.
Sadie composed herself, tried to stand up as calmly as possible and then took a low bow to Julian.
“Thank you for your generous help the night before, however I hope that the reason you are here was
not to take the 50 million and use it as an excuse to buy the welfare home.”
“Hmm.” Julian looked at her blushing face with deep interest, his eyes flashed with surprise. It seemed
that she both knew how to intimidate others, and that for these 6 years that she was not by his side she
had grown to become very independent.
When he noticed that she had forgotten how he took her away from the Chambers family before, he felt
he didn’t mind showing her again.
“Mr Julian?” Sadie couldn’t figure out what his reaction was, and the feeling of uneasiness started to fill
up in her mind.
“The DHG Group is in no shortage of land.” The smile in Julian’s eyes grew stronger; he lifted his lips
then stood up slowly. "However, you don't seem to know that the welfare home has already been
mortgaged to the DHG Group."
“What…” Sadie was surprised and then said, “When did Dean Esme mortgage out the welfare home to
the DHG Group?”
“When you’ve thought about how to take back the ownership rights of the welfare home then come to
the DHG Group headquarters to find me.” Julian’s voice was cold and he then turned away without any
hesitation.
He suddenly began to feel that life from now on would be very interesting indeed.
Sadie froze in place, unable to recover for a long time. It seemed that the scent of that person’s
perfume still remained in the air, and although the sun was shining outside the window her whole body
felt cold.
So it turned out that Dean Esme long before had mortgaged the welfare home to the DHG Group…
Sending people away, Raya asked her how the thing went. However Sadie didn’t even know what to
say so she shook her head and returned to the staff building helplessly.
Libby had already gotten up and was sitting by the window applying her make up.
Sadie fell into her bed without saying a word and then pulled the blanket over her head. Raya obviously
didn’t know about the matter of the welfare home being mortgaged. She had no idea how much money
Dean Esme took but she was certain it was not a small amount.
Otherwise how would it be possible that the president of DHG Group could personally pay a visit and
discuss the purchase?
The more Sadie thought about it the more confused she became. She suddenly felt like everyone
including Dean Esme and Libby all had some hidden stories within them. She then closed her tired
eyes and all she saw was cash flying everywhere.
She wanted to earn money, a lot of money! Then whenever she ran into trouble she wouldn’t have to
go asking others for help. However she was just a first year university student, how could she earn
money? She couldn’t just sell herself.
She pursed her lips together and felt more irritated.
“It’s rare to see you taking a rest, aren’t you going on a date with Otto?” Libby finished putting on her
makeup and then avoided looking at her. She turned her waist and walked to the closet, opened the
door and took out a very sexy dress and then started to get changed in front of her.
Sadie opened her eyes and then looked straight up at the ceiling, not watching her get dressed.
Two months ago, the grocery store owner next door relocated, so he sold both the land and the house
for a total of about 7 million. Dean Esme mortgaged the orphanage to DHG Group, and the money
received from this definitely would not be less than this number.
What did she do with all that money? Why she didn’t even keep enough for treatment?
“What’s up with you? I just asked you a question.” Libby got dressed and stared at her angrily.
Some people are born with a charming and beautiful appearance, and Sadie was no exception to this.
Even though she didn’t show her feelings, the scar on her face will cause other people to feel sorry for
her and want to care for her.
Otto was fascinated by her because of this and the youngest son of the Clarke family who often
donated to the welfare home felt the same way. However what she was clear on was that Sadie was
just a cold girl.
“He’s very busy and will take the initiative to call me when he has time.” Sadie got out of her trance and
then heaved long sigh, “Are you going to go do your tutoring job now?”
“I invited a classmate out to go shopping.” Libby felt slightly bored and annoyed so she took her
handbag and walked out the door without looking back.
How was she able to be so calm? How was she able to trust Otto so much!
At around four in the afternoon, Sadie went to the hospital to pay a visit to Dean Esme. Once she saw
that she was regaining consciousness she felt relieved. She originally wanted to ask Esme why she
mortgaged the orphanage to the DHG Group, however when she saw how tired she was she had no
choice but to drop this idea.
As she walked out of the lobby of the inpatient department she received a phone call from Otto. He
said that later he needed to go on a business trip for a week and wanted to remind her to take care well
of herself.
Once Sadie had finished listening to his endless chatter she put away her phone and walked over to
the bridal dress shop.
Today she had no fashion show work; however she needed to go to King Square and Koo Square to
distribute flyers.
When she arrived, her other colleagues had already changed clothes. Sadie went to the changing room
to change into her dress, put on a backpack with the store’s logo and then walked together with her
colleagues.
Talia’s Milra Wedding Dress Store was not far from King Square so it only took a few minutes to arrive.
Sadie took her flyers and stood to the right of the entrance to distribute.
The sky gradually darkened, the sultry heat dissipated and the wind blowing in-between the gaps of the
tall buildings gave a faint coolness.
She eventually found some time to count the flyers left in her hands and when she discovered that not
much left were remaining she was very relieved.
When she raised her head, she suddenly saw Otto’s parked car and her eyes lit up instantly. However
a moment later her expression grew cold and a forced smile was left planted on her face.
