Chapter 1746
"Are you hawking something?" he quipped, dripping with sarcasm. "I've never
encountered a brew as potent as your presence."
The courtesan shook with anger, and the young Stonnell heir rushed to her side,
his face darkening. "Jackson, don't push your luck!" he snapped coldly.
Jackson just rolled his eyes, shooting a look at Fiona that seemed to say, "How
did the Stonnell family end up with someone so embarrassing?"
Fiona sighed, feeling the weight of dealing with a family that seemed to lack the
sense to run their affairs properly. It was exhausting.
"Lian apologized, and if you can't accept that, it's your issue. Don't be so
ungrateful!"
Fiona stepped up and slapped the young Stonnell heir, leaving him stunned. To
her, people like him were just noise-utterly tiresome.
"Fiona, have you lost your mind?" the young heir gasped, eyes wide with disbelief.
Never in his life had anyone dared to strike him.
"If you keep running your mouth, don't tempt me to slap you again!" Fiona's sharp
gaze was enough to shut him up.
Given his family ties, she felt it was necessary to set him straight a little.
"Spend more time reading and less
time chasing skirts. Just because
modern medicine is advanced
doesn't mean you can treat your
health lightly. Don't say I didn't warn
you if you find yourself bedridden
one day."
With that, Fiona gave him a disdainful look, then took Jackson's hand, smiling
sweetly. "Let's go home, big brother."
She wasn't about to waste more time on someone who would sell out and even
help count the money.
On their way home, Fiona couldn'tnoveldrama
shake off thoughts of the
courtesan's undeniable allure. The
woman was stunning-beautiful,
youthful, and skilled at weaving
spells around men. Any man could
be tempted.
She glanced at Jackson quietly,
appreciating how he remained
unshaken by such temptations.
Although she trusted him deeply,
she realized that, as his girlfriend,
she couldn't completely ignore his
needs. After all, everyone has
desires.
This led her to a revelation: despite being together for so long, Jackson had never
broached this part of their relationship.
Once home, Fiona stormed into her room, her mood sour, refusing to speak.
Jackson followed, sitting beside her.
But before he could utter a word, Fiona suddenly turned around at the top of the
stairs, wrapping her arms around Jackson's neck with a playful, seductive air,
clinging to him like an octopus.
"Jackson," she murmured, lowering her voice deliberately. She saw him shiver
ever so slightly.
Fiona blew a soft breath near Jackson's ear, her cheeks a delicate shade of pink,
her eyes teasing and mischievous, yet she let the moment hang, saying nothing,
letting the silence speak volumes.
What do you think?
