Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1614

The show's Twitter account had hit the trending list, and Fiona couldn't help but notice. The Woods family had sponsored the event, turning a modest designer competition into a hot topic overnight. Before long, other big-name sponsors were lining up to join in.

In a surprising twist, some quirky companies, unable to reach H through the usual channels, were taking to the internet, calling out for a collaboration and promising a partnership that would be worth every penny.

Fiona chuckled to herself. These folks really knew how to get the buzz going.

But would the compensation truly be enough to satisfy her?

She recalled the offer from the Woods family, boasting a jaw-dropping sum that could rake in millions each month. How many companies could even come close to that?

Plus, she was quite the sensation overseas. Her design sketches were a hit internationally, while at home, she was stuck aiming for the high-end market, unable to appeal to everyone.

The Woods family wanted to expand their international business, and they were ready to pay a premium for her skills. Sure, there were plenty of designers with online fame, but none quite like H.

Fiona glanced at her phone, saw nothing worth her time, and put it away, getting ready to freshen up. That's when the girl in the next bed made a snide comment.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, some people only know how to use their looks to make money. What are you doing watching a designer competition? It's laughable. With grades like yours, can you even understand the design lines on those sketches? Yet here you are, so engrossed."

Yvenne's heart nearly skipped a beat, thinking Fiona might have entered the designer competition too. But a closer look at the list showed a few names she didn't recognize.

With no real names to go by, she couldn't figure out who was who. But now, she had to find out if Fiona was really in the competition.

"Fiona, did you join the designer competition? Wow, you're more impressive than I thought." Yvenne sidled up to Fiona with a playful grin, tugging on her hand. "Can you show me which one's yours?"

Fiona coolly pulled her hand back, giving Yvenne a cold stare. "We're not that close."

"What's with the attitude? Yvenne's talking to you because she thinks you're worth

it. Fiona, do you really think so highly of yourself?"

The dorm was about to back Yvenne up, but she signaled them to chill, not wanting any drama.

"Forget it, I'm not wasting my time with you. Anyway, you're no match for Yvenne. She's the best in our school."

Fiona extended her hand toward Yvenne, her voice icy. "Pay up."

The room went silent, stunned. Was Fiona serious, or just playing dumb?

How could she talk like that?

"Fiona, are you crazy? Are you that desperate for cash? Yvenne said she'd pay you back. What's your hurry?"

"Exactly, do you really think your measly million is a big deal? Yvenne's in the designer competition now. She'll be raking in millions in no time. Who cares about your million?"noveldrama

Yvenne tried to hush Fiona, but it was too late.

These girls had loose lips.

And now that Fiona was aware of the designer competition, she'd soon recognize Yvenne's designs, and the truth would come out.

"Who cares about some design competition? A notification popped up on my phone, so what? It's none of my business," Fiona shot back with a cool disdain. "Since you're in this big-shot competition and supposed to be rolling in dough, why don't you pay back what you owe? Quit dragging it out."
