Chapter 2361
"Your eyes, they're so alike," the girl said with a smile.
"We're not mother and daughter, just friends," Sylvia explained.
"Oh, my mistake," the girl replied with an apologetic grin. "Sorry about that."
"It's okay," Sylvia responded softly.
The girl then mentioned, "By the way, there's another edition of the book you bought last time. Let me get it for you."
"Really?" Sylvia was pleasantly surprised and followed the girl to retrieve the book.
When she returned, Gabriel was sitting there, gazing out of the window. His arm rested on the wooden chair, his long fingers slightly curved. His profile was stern, contrasting with the cozy ambiance of the bookstore, yet it made him all the more captivating.
Sylvia, holding a cup of coffee, walked over to him and said with a gentle laugh, "If you find it too quiet here, we could head out to the streets." Gabriel turned around, "No, it's nice here."
Sylvia took off her hat, tying her hair back up, letting a few strands fall around her face, adding a touch of softness to her allure.
She leaned back in her chair, looking at him with a smile, "Noise or quiet, it doesn't matter. It's all about who's with you. A bustling place can feel tranquil with the right company, and a quiet spot can be lively with the person you care about."
Her voice grew softer, "So, it's not about the noise or the silence. It's about whether that person is with you."
Gabriel understood her point. Under the flickering light, his dark eyes held unspoken emotions. After a moment, he took a sip of his coffee and looked back out the window.
Sylvia opened her book to read.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
But she hadn't read many pages before she started to feel drowsy. She had slept late the night before and managed only about four hours of sleep.
Seeing her struggle to keep her eyes open, Gabriel asked, "Tired?"
Sylvia looked up at him, a lazy smile on her face, and nodded gently.
"Want to head back to the hotel to rest?" Gabriel suggested.
"I don't want to leave!" she protested, not ready to go.
Gabriel, slightly amused, said, "Then come here and rest against me for a while."
Sylvia closed her book, got up, and sat next to him, leaning on his shoulder and looking up with a smile, "Thanks, Mr. Carnes."
Gabriel smiled softly and gently patted her face, "Sleep, then."
Sylvia closed her eyes, and in a few minutes, her breathing became even and calm.

Gabriel looked down at her, his arm encircling her shoulder, making her more comfortable against him while he continued to read with his other hand.
The sunlight was just right, warm and gentle, and so was the moment, made all the better by someone even warmer.
Elsewhere, Estelle and Jonathan Lamont were sitting in a café, watching the bustling crowd outside.
It was their first time attending such

a lively event and being jostled by the crowd was somewhat overwhelming. Eventually, they decided to simply find a café to sit in. This way, they could still see the excitement outside while enjoying some desserts and coffee in peace.
Estelle sipped her juice through a straw and said, "I wonder where everyone else went?"
Jonathan replied with a light smile, "Probably doing the same as us, finding a place to sit and rest."
Estelle raised an eyebrow, "So, we came here just to watch the hustle and bustle?"
"Do you want to head back? If you're tired, I can let the group know, and we can go back to the estate," Jonathan offered.
Estelle shook her head, "The hotels are already booked, right? I've heard the night view here is stunning, and there's even a night cruise."
As they chatted, a couple walked by,
looking around for a seat. The cafe was packed, and it was clear the couple was struggling to find a place to rest.
