Chapter 2339
Sylvia said, "Anyway, thank you so much!"
Magdalen asked, "Does Ella know?"
Sylvia nodded, "Yes, she does!"
Magdalen suddenly became furious, "Fine if you didn't tell me, but she kept it from me too!"
She turned around, storming off to find Estelle, "Ella, stop playing around, I have something to ask you!"
Sylvia stood there, glancing back at Gabriel who was chatting with Jonathan and others in the distance. With the sunset in the background, she couldn't help but burst into laughter.
In J City, the afternoon of the second day of Chinese New Year
The house was bustling with visitors, and Norah Lamont stood on the second-floor balcony watching the sunset, while Henson Lamont was seated next to her, engrossed in his video game.
Norah watched as cars came and went, sighing, "This holiday is so dull. Other than having more people around, it lacks any festive spirit!"
Henson, without looking up from his phone, said, "Be grateful. Grandpa, grandma, and our parents are the ones dealing with all those guests. They're even more tired than you!"
Norah snorted, "That's why Estelle is the smart one, sneaking off to enjoy some peace. I saw their photos in the group chat, having a blast at the estate!"
"Why didn't you go then?" Henson asked.
Norah pouted, not responding.
Of course, she had wanted to go. As soon as Carson posted in the group chat, she was eager to join everyone for a trip to C City.
She had messaged Xavier Flemmings to ask if he was going, and he said he wasn't.
So, she didn't go either.
This morning, she visited a barbecue restaurant, finding only Zachary and Damian there, mentioning Xavier had gone home.
With him not at the restaurant, she didn't stick around, leaving the gifts she brought for Damian and his group, feeding Coco, and returning home.
He hadn't replied to her messages all day.
Norah felt utterly bored.
Checking her phone again, there was still no reply from him.
She realized she barely knew anything about Xavier. Was he from J City? He had never mentioned it, nor had she seen him go home.
It struck her how little she truly knew about him, with almost all her information coming from Estelle.
Janice Harper approached, "It's such a lively holiday outside, why do you two look so glum?"
Henson said, "She's not glum; she's heartbroken, devastated!"
Norah glared at him, "You're the one who's heartbroken. No, wait, you've never even been in love!"
Henson's fingers flew over his phone screen, his expression disdainful, "Only those without aspirations in life bother with love, only to end up even moreAll text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

She turned to Janice, "Mom, can you and dad pay more attention to Henson? Don't let Jonathan
influence him so much. Look at him, he's starting to sound exactly like Jonathan!"
Janice couldn't help but laugh, "If he turns out just like Jonathan, and finds a girlfriend as wonderful as Estelle, I'd be satisfied." "Him?" Norah scoffed, "Forget about finding a girlfriend like Estelle. I bet he won't be able to find a girlfriend at all!"
Henson gave her a scornful look.
"Alright, you two, stop bickering. Grandma and grandpa said we're going out to eat, so hurry up and get ready," Janice said with a smile.
