Fall For Me

Chapter 57

Valerie’s POV

“I think your sister is here already” Janet announced. I jostled out of my room to meet Gwen downstairs. She was alone, I was really hoping Carmen was going to show up with her. But why was Gwen holding two big suitcases like she was packing into my house finally?- Did I just call Carson’s house my house? Gosh! My pronouns are failing me.

“Who do we have here?” Gwen commented with a smile as I threw myself around her in a big hug.

“I’ve missed you, how is Carmen? Why didn’t she come along” I wrapped my hands under my breasts with a pout on my face.

“She said she’d come check up on you anytime she’s free but she can’t spend some days because her workplace is far from here”

“Ohh, I forgot. I really wish we could all sit down as 3 sisters and gist about life like we used to. By the way, why are you carrying two big suitcases like you’re coming to spend your entire life here?”

“What? Do you want to go back home already” She blurted angrily

“This is not the right place to get feisty. Carson will be coming in a few days time and you’d leave when he comes because he’s not comfortable with people in his house”

“Why do I feel like you are the one who wants me to leave because look around. There are many workers in his house yet he is comfortable so why will I be any different?”

“Take or leave it, he angrily permitted me to invite you guys for a sleepover. So we are keeping to the rules” I instructed firmly before ordering one of the the maids to take her suitcase to the guest room.

“Queen of Carson’s empire. You’re living the life girl!” She praised.

We followed the maid behind to the guest room. It was a well-furnished room, just a little bit smaller than mine. The walls were painted white and decorated with 3 beautiful pieces of artwork.

“Wow, this looks beautiful” She rejoiced as she threw herself on the bed with excitement

“I know right. Thank you Benita, you can go. Tell Janet to serve dinner” I ordered the maid before she left the room.

“Look at that artwork, it looks like this floral gown your wore and that princess crown on your head” Gwen pointed to one of the artwork-it was a painting of a lady covered in floral prints with only her beautiful eyes revealed.

I chuckled at Gwen’s comparism before walking to the bathroom to run a warm bath for her.

“Go have your bath and come have dinner, we have a lot to talk about afterward” I gestured to the bathroom and smiled at her before leaving the room.

I got to the dining and everything was all set. Janet walked in on me, “You like?” she asked

“I love! You did a nice job setting this up professionally. You even placed the wine she requested the other day on the table for her”

“Yea, everything all nice and good” She smiled at me

“It’s just my sister though, you don’t have to be so fastidious about serving her”

“Yea, whatever you say Valerie”She replied sarcastically

I chuckled, picked up a bottle of wine and poured a little in my cup. I sipped, “This tastes really good. Gwen was right” I licked my lips in satisfaction. “Have a taste”I passed the glass to Janet, she shrugged it was the first time I was inviting her to drink from the same cup with me. She couldn’t bring herself to actually doing that no matter how close we’ve gotten.

“Take this, I’m the one offering you. Okay?” She collected reluctantly and whispered a thank you to me. She sipped and agreed it was a great wine.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

“What did I miss?” Gwen asked from across the room as she walked towards us. Janet handed the glass of wine to me and excused herself quickly.

“That was really fast, I thought you were going to take longer than that. The Gwen that like to soak his skin in a warm bath, afterwards apply all her facial creams because she us a beauty goddess”

“You are the beauty goddess here, I’m only the goddess’ sister”. We both laughed at her statement and sat down to eat.

“This looks good, I can’t wait to devour because I’m starving”

“Have you forfeited your body goals?”

“Oh please!” she served herself and started eating.

There was a moment of silence before Gwen broke it with her question, “So Carson got you a phone?”

“Yea, he got me an Iphone, he said I should call him as frequently as I miss him but I haven’t called him since he travelled”

“So you don’t miss him?”

“I don’t know Gwen. I’m just angry with him”

“By the way, have you called Andrew?”

“No! I don’t think I can do that. Carson might be tracking my phone. He’d kill me if I call another man”

“Carson is not here now, he’s in a business trip. He is too busy to be paying attention to who you call. Let’s finish dinner, go upstairs and make a good plan to get you back with the love of your life”

We finished dinner in no time and hurried upstairs to my room. I showed Gwen my new phone, she brought out hers and typed in Andrew’s number. “You can write out the number somewhere if you don’t want to save it. Just inform Andrew that he can reach you through this number now so you guys can talk in the night or anytime Carson travels” Gwen explained

“I’m scared Gwen, if Carson ever finds out. He wouldn’t spare Andrew”

“What’s the worst he can do? He’d realize you love someone else and let you go”. I was mute, Carson was way to dangerous to just let me go if he finds out I’m cheating on him. I couldn’t bring myself to telling Gwen that Carson might just be a killer. I collected my phone from Gwen and called Andrew, he picked up almost immediately.

“Hello Andrew!” I greeted.
