Chapter 53.
Xavier sat in his office deep in thought, the only thing that occupies his mind is the reply Vanessa had given him.
Which should she talk about first? The fact that Lilian is cheating on him, or that the dude is Jasper… his worst enemy?
Gosh! That’s kind of irritating.
He enveloped his face with his two palms not knowing what to do.
“Sir…” a female voice called him out from the doorpost.
He lifted his face and hissed. “I am not in the mood to handle anything now, take it to the manager or keep it till tomorrow.”
“But it’s urgent Sir, there’s a project that we need to start now and your signature is needed.” The lady narrated.
He sighed and leaned on the chair. “Must it be my signature? I have a manager or you’ve forgotten?”
“I’m sorry sir but the manger has signed his, yours is compulsory here.”
He sighed and ordered her in. She placed the document on the table and he signed approving the project.
The lady left his office instantly and he went back to his deep thoughts again.
“Lilian is just fooling herself and not me, the hell that pains me is about Jasper… I won’t sit and watch him take over Vanessa.” He heaved a big sigh. “Since he has already started with Lilian, they ought to go ahead.” He muttered to himself.
A resounding hiss escaped his throat. “I’ll just pretend that I don’t know what’s going on. Lilian must reveal what she has in mind herself.”Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
He got on his feet and moved the shelf, there’s this particular thing he has to get before sunset.

“This must be a joke.” Jasper sipped from his glass of wine. He recalled everything that occurred in Nessa’s bakery.
He had gotten the secret between the two ladies but pretended not to know anything.
“How can a man have two pretty ladies under his roof alone? It’s kinda impossible… I won’t let that happen.”
He got seated on the long stool and placed his arm on the table beside him. The image of Vanessa kept flashing in his mind.
What baffles him is what Vanessa got to do with babysitting Xavier’s child when she has a bakery. That bakery is enough to solve her problems, but she works for Xavier.
He shook his head. “There’s a skeleton in the cupboard. A beautiful damsel like her can’t just be working for him when she has a means of getting more income in a day.”
He bit his finger in disgust, he must surely get to the root of all this.
Talking about Lilian, he isn’t shocked that she’s betrothed to Xavier, she had counted her to be a tool that can be used by a man.
He isn’t worried about her though, what matters to him is all about Vanessa. He had sworn to get her to himself entirely.
No man would share her with him nor take her away from him. He is damn ready to go to all extent just to make sure that Vanessa is fully hers.
He emptied the glass and left it on the table heading to his room. Within minutes, he was already dressed in his white t-shirt and plain dark trousers.
He made his way out of the room to his car, and kicked off Xavier’s company.

At noon, Xavier was seated behind the shelf still in search of the file. It’s so important to him that he can’t afford to lose a huge project.
And without submitting the file, the project won’t be approved. He needs to get it and submit it to the business board.
The manager bumped in, causing to get on his feet in a haste. “What’s wrong? Is anyone chasing you?”
He shook his head. “There’s this young man that has been shrieking all this while, he persists to see you.”
“What’s his name?”
“Jasper Turner.” He replied.
His eyes narrowed. “What the heck is he doing here?”
The manager twisted his lips. “I don’t know Sir.”
He sighed. “Let him in, but tell the securities to be on alert, I don’t trust that trash.”
The manager acceded and left his office. Seconds elapsed and Jasper bumped into his office.
Anger revealed on his face, but Xavier didn’t care. Heaven knows he isn’t gonna let him go Scott free if he tries something stupid.
“What brought you to my office?” Xavier questioned him.
He let out a devilish grin. “Can’t I have a seat first?”
“If you wish to.”
Jasper got seated opposite him leaning his arms on the table. His eyes focused on Xavier who wasn’t giving a damn smile.
“I came to inquire who Vanessa and Lilian are to you.” Jasper broke up the silence between them.
Xavier sniffed. He had already concluded within him that it’s the reason for his coming, but he needed to hear from him first.
“Any problem with that? Why do you care to know?” Xavier felt the inside of him getting hot. He was irritated already.
Jasper tapped his finger on the table. “Lilian is my lover, and I’m dumping her to get Vanessa since she’s your fiance.”
Xavier affixed his eyes on him without saying a word.
“I just want you to sack Vanessa, she can’t be babysitting your child when she has a nice business to focus on. Let go of her and go ahead with Lilian, the bitch can do the babysitting.” Jasper added.
“You called Lilian a bitch?”
“Of course, that’s what she is. A professional bitch that couldn’t tell me that she’s engaged, but she wants to squander my money.” He replied.
Xavier nodded. “I’m glad she’s a bitch and you’ve taken advantage of her already. Go she’s with her.”
“Never…” he screamed, hitting his palm on the table. He got on his feet.
Xavier stood too, he won’t spare him if he tries stepping on his feet. “I’ve taken enough from you Jasper, and I won’t tolerate it again this time. Let Vanessa be for peace yo reign.”
“We either lose her, instead of leaving her.” He remarked.
Xavier let his mouth agape to say a word, when the door was rapped open and Vanessa strode in with a package of food smiling.
Vanessa glanced at the both men. “What are you doing here Jasper?”
He turned to take a good look at her.
