Chapter 18 The Girl is Mine
Chapter 18 The Girl is Mine
Elizabeth, aware of the impropriety, unconsciously took a half step forward and explained in a low
voice, cradling Ann Charke behind her, “Sorry, we took the wrong turn. Sorry to bother you.”
She grabbed Ann Charke 's wrist and turned away.
The bodyguards who surrounded them had no intention of letting them go, and the big guy laughed
more and more violently, “Since you are here, there is no reason to leave without taking off your
clothes. I've heard of some new recruits. You're not leaving until I have a good time.”
As a noble lady, Ann Charke had never seen met something like that. Her legs went limp and she
began to speak incoherently, “You got the wrong idea. We're not the new girls here. We're looking for
someone.”
Before she finished her words, the bodyguard had dragged her to the big guy.
Elizabeth was so anxious that she blurted out, "Stop! Don't touch her! She’s Marvin Bennett’s fiancee!"
Ann Charke, who was still in shock also followed and agreed to say: “Yes, I am Marvin Bennett's
fiancée. Don't touch me, or Marvin will kill you!”
The bog boss was well known in the circle. He and Marvin Bennett didn't like each other, but they didn't
have a problem. But if he messed with Marvin Bennett's woman, he would be in trouble.
He looked at the two young women again. They were well-dressed and unrevealing, certainly not
nightclub workers.
But before he could speak, another young man in the dim light suddenly said, “She's Marvin's fiancee.
What about you? Who are you?”
Elizabeth followed the voice and saw the face of a fine gentleman, but the man was cold and sullen,
and his temper was not as serious as his face.
Elizabeth did not reply and was soon shouted at by the middle-aged man, “Mr. Buck was talking to you.
Answer him!"
“I'm Marvin's sister. She and I were looking for my brother. It was dark at night. I took the wrong road
and entered the wrong room.” said Elizabeth in a low voice.
The man, known as Mr. Buck, had no expression on his face as he lit a cigarette and smoked it slowly.
After a few puffs of his cigarette, he said simply, “So you’re Marvin Bennett’s stepsister. Come here.”
Elizabeth refused to move, so she was dragged to the man by the bodyguard.
He clutched her chin in his hand and stared at her face with his deep eyes.
And just as Elizabeth was on her guard against his doing anything wrong, he released his hold, and
said, still very gently, “I've always had a problem with Marvin Bennett, and if you're really from The
Bennett family, I'm not going to let you go so easily.”
“What the hell are you trying to do? Well, since you all know Marvin Bennett, you should know that he's
got a temper. If you hurt us, Marvin will never let you go, no matter who you are.” said Ann Charke
bravely.
“She is so noisy, put a bottle of wine in her mouth to shut her up.” Mr. Buck ordered, his eyes narrowed
and his face deadpan.
“No! Please, sir! Please forgive her. She's pregnant and she must not drink. Otherwise, she will be in
danger." said Elizabeth hastily.
“She's pregnant? Is it Marvin Bennett's? Oh, that's interesting. That's all the more reason for me to
drink her to death.” Said Mr. Buck with a meaningful smile.
Elizabeth, in a cold sweat, unconsciously pressed the man's commanding hand and said, “Please let
her go. If you have a problem with Marvin, you should take it out on him, not innocent women and
children. That's the rule, isn't it?”
Mr. Buck looked more serious, his eyes resting deliberately on her face.
After a long time he said playfully: "Ok, she is pregnant and can't drink. You should drink it then. "
A large glass of wine was flung before her. Elizabeth frowned, took it stiffly, drank several gulps, and
coughed violently.
Mr. Buck peered at her and snorted, “Marvin Bennett's sister can't drink. How funny it is! Keep drinking.
You're not leaving until you finish this bottle.” Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Elizabeth grew up with these people around Marvin Bennett, and she knew that the higher these men
were, the more difficult they were to deal with. They were not religious men, and they had no sympathy
for women and children.
To avoid worse results, she had to drink as much as she could.
Elizabeth finished her glass, and her stomach began to throb. Just when she thought she was going to
get alcohol poisoning tonight, the door of her room was slammed open.
The big guy who was sitting in the middle was startled and it took him a few seconds to recover and
said, “Mr. Williams, what brings you here?”
Elizabeth saw Robert Williams in front of her through the pain burning in her stomach.
He was wearing a linen shirt with the cuffs rolled up casually and looked as if he had arrived at a
speed.
Mr. Buck looked at him with some surprise.
"The girl is mine," Robert Williams said simply. "From now on, no one is to touch her."
Mr. Buck narrowed his eyes and said, "she said she's Marvin Bennett's sister.”
The big guy was so frightened that his legs went numb. He did not expect that a seemingly insignificant
girl should have a relationship with Mr. Williams. Mr. Buck and Mr. Williams were friends, so Mr. Buck
had nothing to fear. But he was different, he feared that if Mr. Williams got angry…
