Chapter 63 But I Don’t Love Him
Chapter 63 But I Don’t Love Him
Ice water soaked through Harriet’s wounded forehead. The severe pain stimulated her so that she
collected her wits.
At this point, she remembered the reason why she went downstairs. So she went back to the kitchen
again. Nevertheless, there was nothing to eat now in refrigerator. Due to the fall, nothing could drive
her to cook.
At the meantime, Jack Moor seemed to finish the conversation and went downstairs too.
Seeing Harriet’s pale look, Jack said, “Ms. Clark, you... Is there anything I can do for you?”
Harriet ignored him without any words. Jack Moor just walked away.
Wesley Smith came downstairs to get some water to drink, finding the lights on in the living room. No
sooner than he got closer there, Harriet came into his sight.
“What happened?” He glanced at her injured forehead.
Harriet closed her eyes to rest, “Just missed the steps.”
Her moods which were supposed to be better now became worse when Harriet saw him.
The fact that he would be engaged with someone was about to announce but he still wanted her to
come here.
Harriet Clark smiled ironically. She opened her eyes immediately when felt someone sat by her side.
Her hands felt warm because Wesley Smith took the ice from her.
“What are you doing?” She sat up vigilantly. The ice on her forehead interrupted her more words.
Wesley messaged gently on her forehead.
Hold on. Now it was Wesley Smith that helped her deal with the wounds?
But she did not need that, “I can do it by myself.”
She tried to interrupt.
Wesley Smith said with a cold tone, “Do not move if you want to promote faster.”
Harriet put her hands down. Wesley Smith kept rubbing her swelling forehead. His act was so practical.
Maybe she had done this to somebody before.
His dear fiancee knew him since they were children. Maybe he looked after her all the time when she
got wounded.
She was supposed to feel better due to the ice which can kill the pain. But it seemed worse inwardly
than before.
“Thank you.” She moved her body. “I feel better.”
However, Wesley waited for a few minutes and then stood up.
At this point, all of a sudden, Harriet’s stomach was grumbling.
Harriet turned around awkwardly.
Wesley Smith slackened the pace suddenly and then went upstairs with a bottle of water.
Harriet’s lips narrowed to a line and watched him disappear in her sight.
There was only her left in the living room. Waiting for a few minutes, Harriet still can’t resist the hunger.
All of a sudden, the doorbell rang. She frowned unconsciously. Who would come at this point?
She walked to the door and watched to find who was there though the peep hole.
Jack Moor, Why he was back?
He would not be coerced by someone and bring them here?
It can not blame her for that because the matter that happened last time still leaped up vividly by the
eyes.
Jack Moor kept ringing the doorbell patiently.
But Harriet Clark just watched him without any movement.
In the doorway, Jack Moor had been waiting for a long time but nobody answered. So he took out the
phone and dialed Wesley’s number.
Wesley Smith went down and got near to the door, seeing Harriet near the door, and said with
frowning, “Open the door.”
His voice startled Harriet unexpectedly.

Her felt her beating fast. A few minutes later, she was calm a little.
Wesley had already opened the door, letting Jack Moor in.
Jack was very surprised and glanced Harriet carrying a takeaway.
She was right here? Why he waited for so long time but she didn’t open the door?
Harriet turned around and realized she fantasized too much.
Jack put the takeaway food on the table. Later, an enticing smell occupied the whole living room.
Harriet was so hungry that she can’t help but look at it.
The rectangular table, two seats, two meals respectively.
“What are you waiting for?” Wesley saw Harriet stand stone still. So he said that in a not gentle tone.
There was the one for her!
At that time, Harriet’s eyes gleamed like stars but she quickly was back to normal look. Her fast
footsteps showed her good mood.
“Thank you.” After saying that, she can’t wait to sit in front him and start to eat.
It seemed that she was totally starving.
Before Wesley came back, he had had dinner so he was not hungry at all.
He did not intend to care about Harriet at first. He just went back to his study but he always seemed to
hear the sound of the stomach, which gave him an illusion that Harriet was hungry.
Therefore, Wesley called Jack Moor in order to let him send some food.
Wesley did not move. He lowered his eyes and gazed at the opposite.
Harriet’s forehead looked better than before. She was focused on the cutlery box and fighting with the
food. In a moment, the cutlery tray was empty.
Looking up, their eyes met so Harriet was stunned for a moment. She took a tissue and wiped her
mouth to gloss over the awkward situation.
“I’m full.”
She wondered if she was so starving that she felt the food was amazing. Harriet wished to continue
more food.
His white taper fingers and another cutlery tray came to her sight.
She looked up and saw his good-looking face.
Wesley pushed his takeaway food to her with no words. Then he stood up and went upstairs.
Harriet was staring at the tray in a trance. Later, she turned around and then stared at the stairs.
After a long time, she pulled back a little.
Seeing the amazing food on the table, however, she didn’t want to eat any more. Instead, it seemed an
invisible thorn stabbed in her heart.
She didn’t want another bite and went back to her bedroom. Finishing cleaning up, she went to bed.
She tossed and turned restlessly in the bed, and felt so hard to fall asleep.
Next day, Harriet Clark woke up with dark circles and came downstairs.
Jack Moor had already been there. Wesley Smith worn a black haute couture suit. His straight body
was like vigorous green bamboo with unique temperament like a huge iceberg.
Harriet stopped at the corner and did not go out.
“Let’s go.” Before he left, he glanced at the upstairs.
Harriet walked back hurriedly. Wesley said something else but she didn’t catch that.
Waiting Wesley had left, she came downstairs and ate her breakfast.
The villa was equipped with a spare vehicle. Harriet did not want to stay here any longer so she left at
once.
On the way, Keith Miller called her again and said, "Harriet, you must be free today. I need a female
companion to attend a party."
Without hesitation, Harriet refused, "No..."
Keith Miller interrupted immediately, "Help me please! Will you? I have been waiting you for a long time.
You never said yes, Harriet."
"You are very kind, aren’t you? Please."
Harriet could not say no to him after Keith kept begging. What a coincidence. Colin Clark sent her a
message that today was his little girlfriend's birthday. Due to Louisa’s family who wanted to hold a
birthday party, Colin can not spend time with her little girlfriend.
Nothing to so, Harriet promised to be present.
After Colin informed Harriet, Colin was hounded by Louisa, "Please attend. It is my birthday party."
"Let it pass, Louisa. I still have to review today. Tonight we can celebrate you birthday." Actually, review
was just an excuse because he knew Louisa had a wealthy family. People in her birthday party must be
remarkable and extraordinary. Colin Clark did not go to join in the fun.
But Louisa still hounded him, ”You really won’t come?”
“Tonight I will make up to you. I promise.” Colin knew she might be furious because of her tone. So he
tried to calm her gently.
“Colin Clark, you bastard.” After saying that, Louisa hang up.
She thought she was gonna confess all to him and then they could get away. But now, she can not
leave.
To assure things going on wheels, Sandra Jones hired someone to follow her specifically.
Colin Clark, you bastard. What a fake excuse! She begged him like that. He still would not like to come.
"Miss, time to make-up." The maid came in and hurried her up.
Louisa was filled with rage so she dropped her mobile phone, "I see. I see. The only word you know is
HURRY!"
She was like a firecracker whose fire was totally blazed.
"Louisa, what's wrong with you?" Sandra Jones came over and frowned, seeing her blue face.
Dropped her eyelids, Louisa was in a low spirit.
Sandra Jones concerned, "Are you out of sorts, my sweetheart?"
Louisa whispered, "Mom, do I have to marry Wesley?"
Sandra Jones took her hand anxiously, "Why do you think like that? If you don't marry him, who do you
want to marry? Listen to Mommy, your father and I only recognize him as our son-in-law."
"But..." Her eyes met Sandra Jones’ firm eyes, her voice lowered immediately which can hardly be
heard.
But she didn't love him.
Why can't she marry the right one she loved?
