Chapter 69

Her fears

She opened her eyes, halfway it came with a strong headache. Glancing round her to know where she was and how she got here.

She opened them, feeling the coldness on her feet. She looked down and saw water on her feet. She shuddered in fright, she was scared of water.

What was this?

She noticed she was inside a well and the water was going up to her body, inside the well that she was, it was locked. She wanted to reach out to the door. But then she noticed, her legs were chained to the ground. She couldn’t moved from the there.

Now the fear was here. Clouding round her, she was gonna die.

She had dreamt about this when she was in the mansion, Ray had took her to the beach and he pushed her into the waters. When he was aware she was scared of it.

How could do a think like that. And now the dream was reality.

She was trapped in here. In a well, with the water moving up to her upper legs.

“No!” She cried.

Trying to kick, but she couldn’t.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“No! Please Help, get me out of here please!” She cried out. Crying more when she looked down and saw the waters.

“Somebody, Ray!” She yelled.

“Don’t do this to me in please.”

Ray paced in front of the well, biting his nails, his weakness was her tears, he couldn’t see her cry. Or hear her cry and do nothing.

“Ray!” She called his name again.

He paced worriedly, up and down the front of the well, he wanted to go there and opened it.

“Don’t even think of doing that.” Sara said, walking into the place they were.

“I wasn’t gonna do anything.”

“I see the look on your face. It shows that you wanted to do something. Pull her out.”

“I wasn’t gonna do it.”

“Sure you can stay here?”

“I can.”

“Anyway, Hazard wants you. You should go meet up with him. You’ve some business together, don’t worry about her, I’m gonna take care of it. I’ll take care of her as well.” She smirked. Ray knew the meaning behind those smirk so he was hesitance to leave there.

“Ain’t you leaving, I’m not gonna hurt her.”

“I didn’t say you gonna do it.”

“The look in your face says the obvious.” She shrugged her shoulders. Ray stood for a while before he walked away, with guilt burning down his guts.

Was this what you want?

He asked himself, is this what you trying want, Ray?

Walking out, he saw Sara squatting to the well, peeping into it. He paused. He didn’t want to go further, he wanted to go back there and see for himself what she was gonna do.

“Ain’t you leaving!”

Bitch!

He mentally yelled. Walking out fully without looking back.

“We’re almost at the brink of it all.” Hazard whispered in his ear. Ray nodded. He was aware of it, they were about to call Kenzo, tell him Elina was here and have him surrender or else, she was gonna die if he doesn’t show up.

“So you shouldn’t ruin this, you shouldn’t go near the well, leave it to us, we ain’t gonna kill if he doesn’t show up, we would pretend to have killed her, that’s the plan have you forgotten?”

“But why do I feel like, there’s another plan I’m unaware of.”

“There isn’t any. Trust me, we’ve got this.”

“I don’t want her getting hurt.”

“She isn’t gonna get hurt, beside you hurt her once. Don’t forget you hit her with a wood, from the back of head. You hurt as well.”

“I know, and I feel awful for it. I don’t want her hurt anymore, and placing her in the well while you had the water turn on wasn’t part of the deal. Because I told you that she was scared of water, which could kill her faster than anything. You did that. You place her in there.”

“That’s the point, we need her weakness to get hold of her. That’s it.”

Ray, paced in front of him.

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Trust me.”

“How long are you gonna torture he with the water.”

“Till It covering her entire body in the well.”

“What!” He yelled.

“I was only kidding, I wasn’t gonna do that. But it could be something close to it.” He pat his shoulders, and sat down on the chaise lounges. Watching his reaction. He was worried, he was scared, he had so much guilt in his face.

“You should seat. Don’t worry too much.”

“And Barbra? Where is she?”

“Oh..” he mouthed.

“In heaven.” He chuckled.

“What do hell do you mean?”

“What else does it mean, she knew it was a trap and she escaped, I can’t let her go off like that. She was once my slave remember.”

His fist tighten beside him. He punched the air. He wanted to hit something, he face the wall. And punched it.

Argh!

“Calm down Ray, it’s only for the best.”

“It’s not for the best. You promised me. You said you were just gonna hold her for few hours and let her go. But no! You killed her instead. And you expect me to trust you. How can trust you now. I don’t even know myself anymore.”

“You’re no difference from me. We’re both going after what we want.” He lit the pipe in his hands and place it on his mouth. Smoking.

“You’re already in it. You can’t back down now..”

Ray looked at him.

“Don’t look at me that way. We made a deal, you stand by your and I stand by mine. Barbra wasn’t in that deal. Elina was. So whatever happens to Barbra shouldn’t be an issue. Beside you never did liked her.”

“I did like her.”

“You shouldn’t confuse yourself Ray” his voice was hoarse now. As he took his gaze away to the figurines of dancers.

“Take a drink. It would help you calm down. In few minutes, we would call Kenzo, I’m sure he’s aware she’s missing already.”

“Hello, little bird!” Sara yelled.

Elina lifts her head up, then she saw her eyes peeking at her. Elina struggled, reaching out her hands. Begging your enemy to let you out of the hell they kept you was a waste. It would only bring pleasures to them and not to her. They would made fun of it, laugh and crack up. Damn asshole!

At this rate. There wasn’t anything she could do, if she spends the next hour here she was gonna die. She was certain of it.

“Let me out of here. I beg you.”

“Why should I ?”

“Just let me out.”

“I would never, you said you were gonna kill me, but seems I’ll be the one doing same to you. Killing you black ass.”

“Why me? What did I do to you?”

“Do you need to ask that, anyway I’m gonna answer you, why you, it’s you, nerdy witch, who ruin our lives. The one who got hold of Kenzo heart. The only one he cares about, the only one he loves. And we don’t want that for Kenzo, he shouldn’t love after he took those who loved away from them. He has no right to be in love and we’re gonna do just that. Take you away from him.”

Sniffed, the water was getting lose to her knees. Gulping, each time she stares down.

“And I’m sure you know, the election is tomorrow, Kenzo would be dead and Hazard wins. Because he’s gonna come here to rescue you and we’ll help him to reduce the stress.”

“You told him I was here?”

“Isn’t he gonna come rescue his baby mama.”

She shuddered in fright.

“Let me out please. Don’t hurt Kenzo.”

“He needs to die for us to win. And he’s gonna come for you. So prepare..”

“Sara please.. don’t hurt us. We’ll give you everything if that’s what you want.”

“What the hell am I gonna do with everything, I just wanna see you lay dead and Hazard wants to see Kenzo dead. Balance isn’t it?”

“And Ray, What does he wants?”

“He wants Kenzo dead. And oh, least I forgot a little info, the trash girl. Barbra has gone to the great beyond.”

Sara chuckled evilly.

“It’s not true, Barbra is a fighter, she’s not just gonna die. I don’t believe a thing you say.”

Tears were pouring down her face.

“If you don’t believe that, believe this then, that you’re gonna die.” Smirking as she turn the pipe which the waters flows into the well. She turns it to the highest so the water speeds off into the well.

Elina fears rose to the brim. Her head went down into the water as she tries to pull the chains off her leg, but she couldn’t. She took her head out of the water again.

Panting for breath.

Kenzo mustn’t come here. He mustn’t!
