Chapter 1520 Confirmed
"I'm just worried about your health. You need to get better so you can take over the company. Handling everything alone is too much for me right now."
Sadie sighed and waved her hand. "Let's get this over with quickly."
"Yes, Mrs. Clemens."
Four burly men approached "Micah," stripped him of his clothes, and forced him into the wooden barrel.
"Let me go! Let me go!"
"Micah's" screams echoed through the backyard as the scalding medicinal water nearly burned his skin off.
He clung to the edge of the barrel, trying to climb out, but the four men held him down firmly.
He struggled desperately, but all he managed to do was splash water everywhere. He couldn't break free from their grip.
The attendants nearby couldn't help but sigh.
"Mr. Clemens has really lost his strength since he got sick."
"Yeah, back in the day, the four of us wouldn't have been able to hold him down."
"Not just hold him down, we wouldn't have even gotten close before he kicked us away."
"He's so much weaker now."
"All this suffering from his illness. I hope he gets better soon."
"Paula said he needs to soak for eighty-one days and have bloodletting every day." "Percy, when do we start the needles?"
"Let him soak for an hour first." Percy set a timer and added heat under the barrel. "We need to keep the water at this temperature for it to work. It can't get cold."
"Thanks for your hard work!"
Sadie called out, then looked at "Micah" in the barrel with a pained expression.
"Honey, when Nina, poisoned me and I was suffering. this is how I was treated too. You have to endure it. If you cooperate with the treatment, you'll get better!"noveldrama
"You!"
"Micah" in the barrel gritted his teeth in anger, his face twisted with rage as if he wanted to climb out and tear Sadie apart.
"Keep a close eye on Micah. I need to go to the police station." Sadie instructed the attendants behind her. "If the four of them can't hold him down, you step in. Make sure Micah completes the treatment, understand?"
"Understood!"
They answered in unison, their voices loud and filled with determination.
It was as if following this order was the only way to bring Micah back to life.
"Good boy!" Sadie patted "Micah's" head, soothing him gently. "After the treatment, you'll go home and have some butternut squash soup, then you can rest well. We have to go to the company tomorrow morning."
By now, Micah in the barrel was nearly unconscious from the scalding water, but when he heard "butternut squash soup," his mouth twitched, and his eyes filled with despair.

"Be good! Love you!"
Sadie pinched his cheek and turned to leave.
Once in the car, Annika couldn't help but laugh. "Ms. James, that was brilliant. That imposter won't last long before he confesses."
"He's really put in the effort." Sadie sneered. "Even got the tattoos exactly right. If I didn't know my husband's secret, he might have actually fooled me."
"A secret? What secret?" Annika asked curiously.
"That's not something I'm going to share." Sadie blushed a little. "But I'm one hundred percent sure this guy isn't Micah!"
Annika was still very curious. "How did you figure it out?"
"When he was bathing, I barged in to check the tattoos. They were identical. I thought I might have been mistaken, but then I saw other... differences."
Sadie blushed even more. "Let's just say, there are significant differences!"
