A smirk appeared on her face. 'Already eyeing a big shot to help you right? You think she isn't worthy of him and you do?' Cara shivered in anger. "This doesn't make sense at all." She mumbled under her breath.

A few minutes ago, she was excited when she received the gift. For a moment, she thought that she was already making progress and if she could keep stealing her sister's spot whenever she had a meeting with Alex, she would be able to leave a good impression on Alex and he would eventually warm up to her. She was really proud of herself with her plan, the image of herself as Mrs. King was starting to come to reality.

Now, all hopes vanished. Still not wanting to give up her chances with Alex, Cara put on a smile on her face and turned her attention to look at Alex.

"Mr. King, I apologize for misunderstanding who the jewelry box is for." Cara apologized, before continuing, "However, since my sister isn't the one who came here, can't I just take the jewelry as my gift instead since I'm the one here." She requested, winking her eyes at Alex while stretching her hand to hold the tip of Alex's suit. Unfortunately, before her hand could touch him, Alex swiftly averted her touch like she was plague. "Derek, get me another piece of suit." Alex ordered with a frown and disgusted look on his face.

A few of the people who witnessed how Alex avoided Cara's touch, snickered in mockery at her. She hadn't even touched him yet, but he was already requesting for a change of cloth. As expected of one of the most dangerous men in the world.

A few began to mutter insults at Cara without even bothering to low. They confidently and blatantly insulted her.

Cara's face turned red in anger and embarrassment. Never in her life would she thought that she would be exposed to such embarrassment.

Rose had a slightly frown on her face when she heard Alex. 'Wait, I have heard that somewhere?' she thought as she tried to take another look at Alex's face but unfortunately his back was turned to her direction.

Unable to control herself anymore from the humiliation she was receiving, Cara looked at Alex. "Just how rude can you be to me Mr. King? Did you think it's fun humiliating me in public like this?!" She yelled, completely forgetting who she was talking to.

Seeing that her boss has finally lost it, Cara's quickly moved closer to her. "Boss, please control yourself. Don't forget who you're talking to." She tried to persuade her boss to control her anger. They can't afford to offend Alex, besides, she knew her boss was the one who had crossed the line.

"Would you shut up! Does it look like I give a damn here?! How dare a mere employee tell me what to do?" Cara turned to look at her secretary and yelled furiously at her in anger.

like this. You only possess handsomeness and I think the rumors about you being gay are true. How can a beautiful woman like me stand in front of you and you can't even appreciate me but you went ahead and insulted me!" Cara turned back her attention at Alex and ranted angrily. There was no man who saw her that wouldn't be smitten and fall her charm. So how come Alex didn't fall for her charm.

"It's no wonder that you don't have a girlfriend, Mr King. There is no way that you can get a girlfriend with this attitude of yours." Cara continued, crossing her hand in front of her chest. Even if she was going to lose face in the place, she was going to make sure that she solidified the rumors about Alex being gay.

Alex's expression darkened when he heard Cara's words. "Did you think I can't get a girlfriend if I want Miss Gale?" He suddenly asked, his eyes darker than before and his voice sounding icy than before. Normally, he wouldn't have paid any attention to what she was saying but he was starting to get angry.

Looking at his handsome flawless face, Cara gulped, although she was agitated at the way she was treated and humiliated by Alex, she couldn't help but think that he was so mesmerizing, even though his sharp gaze pierced through her dagger.

"Yes. It's obvious you can't, since you can't even read all the signals I've been giving you." Cara gathered her courage and nodded her head, not wanting to lose more face.

"What made you think that you meet my requirement of girlfriends?"

"Mr. King! The level of your

disrespect towards me is getting out of hand. You make it sound like you have interest in any woman in the first place. If you want me to believe that I'm not your standard, there are a lot of women here in this shop, then pick any woman to be your girlfriend even if it's just for five minutes." Cara demanded. She still wasn't believing the fact that Alex can pick out a woman to be his girlfriend, since she thought that he was truly gay like the rumor about him says.

"Miss Gale, what are you telling my boss to-" Derek was about to step in but Alex waved his hand to stop him. Since he wanted to prove this woman wrong, he can just pick out any woman in the store to be his girlfriend and pay her off after he was done with her.
