Billionaire's Pregnant Ex-wife

Chapter 9

You Look Like Someone We Knew

"Please enjoy your meal, I forced myself to say, enforcing cheerfulness in my tone.

The

barely audible sound of the door opening captured my thoughts. I thanked the heavens for giving me an excuse to leave the table. After politely excusing myself, I set aside the trolley and glanced at the guest w My lips parted slightly, and I heard a gasp-

it was not my own. Standing in the doorway was a man, not just any man, but a tall and good-

looking one.

Closing my mouth before a fly could enter, I gathered my thoughts and made my way to him.

"Good morning, sir. May I ask if you have a reservation?" I asked, a smile bright enough to rival the glow of the chandelier flashing on my lips. He was taller than I expected, almost the same height as Grey. "No, I don't have any," he replied, his tone polite yet filled with authority. As he surveyed the expanse of the restaurant, he turned his neck in my direction. "I have my brother with me, so I need a table for-" He st

A glimmer of interest and curiosity lingered in his eyes as he peered closely at my face. For a moment, I was speechless. Unease spread through my body as I stood there, frozen.

I took the chance to survey him more closely. When he first entered, I spotted ash-

blonde hair, but now, with the distance between us gone, I realized his hair was midnight dark. Only the reflection of the light creating a halo on his head made it look ash gray.

The icy blast from the air conditioner playfully tugged at the unruly strands. He appeared as if he had just woken up. I bet he did; the floors above the restaurant were luxurious suites. There was no mistaking th Returning my attention to his face, I admired his aristocratic features.

Gosh! I'm a married woman, but I couldn't help but admire those blue lagoon eyes. They had

the power to unnerve anyone with just a single look.

Realizing I'd been staring at him for far too long. I gathered

my scattered wits. Clearing my throat, I spoke, "I will take you to your table, sir. Please follow me." But the man didn't budge. He continued to look at me with unconcealed interest, much like a scientist observing "My brothers-" He hesitated, glancing over his shoulder to check if they were behind him.

As if on cue, the glass door opened Entering was a man with the same midnight black hair, but much taller and far more good-

looking than the man I was speaking with. Before I could greet him, four other men in casual shirts and jeans strode through the door.

They immediately spotted me, and the same

bewildered expression spread across their faces as their eyes bore into mine.

I swallowed hard and swooned again. They must have been the most good-

looking men I'd ever seen. It sounded exaggerated, but in my eyes, they truly were.

They continued to stare at me with unbothered interest until unease crept through me.

Warmth spread across my cheeks. Although there was no mirror to check my reflection, I knew my face was tomato red. Self-consciously, I bit my lower lip.

Is there dirt on my face? Is there lipstick staining the corners of my lips again? Is my hair out of place? Did they find my eye color weird? "Calm down," a voice in my head told me. To my surprise, I did calm down.

"Good morning, gentlemen," I found my voice and greeted them, despite the sudden discomfort from the six pairs of eyes staring at me. "Please follow me to your tables." I didn't wait for a response and walked down the aisle, with

them obediently following behind

All eyes instantly turned to the group as they walked down the aisle. The loud voices fell into hushed whispers. The soft clatter of silverware stopped, too.

Girls swooned as the men passed their tables. I could see envy in their eyes every time they looked at me.

Out of the corner of

my eye, I caught Grey looking at me. He glared in my direction, his thick eyebrows scrunching into a deep scowl when I didn't look at him as I passed the table where he and Natalia were seated

your table," I told them with a smilenoveldrama

"Thank you" one of them said. I assumed he must be the youngest since he appeared younger than the rest. He flashed me a smile, and my cheeks instantly turned crimson.

The men sat down.

I thought they would stop staring at me now that they were comfortably seated in ther upholstered chairs, tout wheOF happened next was the complete opposite. They stared at me boldly and more imensely thi Unable to hide my discomfort anymore. I finally turned to look at them. At first, I hesitated, but after some thought opened my lips to speak. Is there a problem, gentlemen

As if the trance had been broken, they blinked. The first man to enter the restaurant spoke. "adoga for our behar was rude to

stare, but we couldn't help it." He was polite yet amused as he torke "But you need took the verte know" He added, turning to his brothers, who all nodded in silent approval as though what he card was e A guest had remarked that I looked like the woman in

the painting this morning, and now they

were saying the same thing except that they weren't referring to a painting but comparing me to a real person
