Billionaire’s Missing Darling

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

“Slap!” A crisp and loud sound echoed in the room.

Olivia had always been working out. Her action was swift, and she could control her strength with concentration and precision.

With this slap, Emma’s cheeks were instantly swollen like steamed bread.

It all happened too fast and too sudden for the people present to react.

When everyone came back to their senses, Olivia was already standing aside and looking down at her wrist.

Amelia was the first to come back to her senses and threw herself on Emma at the first moment, looking at Emma’s cheek with a worried expression. Then, she repeatedly ordered the servants to fetch ice.

Hearing the repeated instructions, Samuel also came back to his senses. He looked at Emma’s swollen cheeks first, then turned his head, narrowed his eyes, and looked at Olivia.

A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes.

“What!” David was the last to realize the situation. He pounced toward Olivia like a violent lion, trying to skin Olivia alive.

This teenager had always been arrogant. As the youngest child in the family, he was doted on by his parents and sister. Because of his wealthy family and handsome face, he was very sought after outside. Men and women liked to follow him.

There was no standard of not hitting women in his vocabulary. When someone made him unhappy, he would make that person and his whole family unhappy.

Now that Olivia had beaten his gentle and kind sister, he would definitely avenge his sister.

“You are courting death!” David tried to slap Olivia.

Olivia raised her hand and grabbed him by the wrist.

It was such a thin little hand, but it grabbed his wrist tightly, making him unable to get rid of it

David frowned and looked up at Olivia.

It was the first time he had taken a close look at the woman who was said to be his sister. David didn’t care about having one more sister or two older sisters in the family. Anyway, the Taylor family had money and didn’t care about raising more people.

“But this Olivia made Emma sad, which I absolutely can not tolerate.

“I promised Emma that I would be her little knight in this life and protect her forever. It’s okay for others to bully me, but they can’t bully Emma. No!” he said inwardly.

The woman in front of him was slender, and there was an inexplicable sense of familiarity between her eyebrows. She looked very similar to Amelia.

Seeing the woman resemble his mother, David felt something touch the softness in his heart, and his anger dissipated a little.

He was no longer as irritable as before but still stared at Olivia indifferently.

“Let go!”

Olivia gave him a cold look, turned her wrist, and pushed David aside.

Then, she turned to Samuel.

Samuel had been calmly watching David pounce on Olivia earlier. Only when David was restrained by Olivia and pushed aside did he wrinkle his brows and say coldly, “Why did you hit Emma?”

Olivia touched her fingertips and raised her eyes. The corners of her mouth turned up slightly to a beautiful smile.

It was the first smile she had since arriving at the Taylor family.

Standing in the center of the living room, she had a gorgeous face. Her skin was beautifully tanned. Her deep eyes were like a pool of water. She looked a little cold when she was not smiling, and her temperament was as cool as water. But when she smiled, the little dimples on her cheeks were revealed, adding a touch of cuteness.

She raised her eyes slightly, mimicking their words slowly as she said, “I didn’t want to hit her. She took the liberty of doing it. It has nothing to do with me! Besides, she is okay, and she is not dead. We’re a family. Let’s forget about this matter.”

She was clearly mocking them.

“You!” Samuel got angry and was about to reprimand Olivia.

Emma suddenly spoke up in a timid voice, “Dad, don’t be angry. It’s all my fault. I made the wrong decision and almost hurt Olivia. She should beat me to vent her anger.”

After that, she turned to Olivia, her watery eyes flashing apologetically. “Olivia, I’m sorry. I was wrong. I’m worried that Mom and Dad will not like me after you come back, and you will completely take my place. I have been an orphan since I was a child, and I finally met such a good father and mother. I

don’t want to lose it again. I didn’t want to harm you that day. I just wanted to scare you and drive you away so that Grandpa would not find you.

“It’s my fault. It’s all my fault.” Emma lowered her head, tears dripping down her eyes. “Olivia, slap me again to vent your anger.”

“Emma, what nonsense are you talking about? It’s not your fault at all. It’s that bad guy who made his own decision.” Seeing her beloved Emma crying so sadly, Amelia was heartbroken and hugged Emma to soothe her sadness.

She coazed Emma to stop crying before turning to Olivia finally.

She carefully examined the young woman in front of her.

When she saw Olivia’s eyebrows similar to hers, Amelia realized at that moment that Olivia was indeed her own daughter, the daughter she had lost for 18 years.

As a rich lady, Amelia had very sharp eyes and could tell at a glance that the clothes on Olivia were ordinary brands, and her hands were not like Emma’s. Emma’s fingers were slender, delicate, and fair because she never had to do chores.

Olivia’s hands were a little dry and rough, and her finger pulps were covered with thin callouses.

“This girl obviously lived in poor conditions and did a lot of menial work since she was a child,” thought Amelia.

Realizing this, Amelia felt her heart ache slightly. Her throat hurt badly, as if she had swallowed sand.

“Olivia?” she called out in a soft voice.

Sensing Amelia’s turbulent emotions, Emma realized something was wrong and immediately called out softly to draw Amelia’s attention to her, “It hurts.”

Sure enough, Amelia cared more about Emma, who had been by her side for more than 10 years. She was quickly attracted by Emma and looked at Emma’s swollen cheeks with sorrow.

She comforted Emma softly for a while before turning to look at Olivia again.

After Emma’s interruption, Amelia was no longer in the mood to feel sorry for Olivia, After all, Emma was now more seriously injured.

But she had no heart to reprimand Olivia. Anyway, it was Emma’s fault from the beginning.

After thinking about it, Amelia said, “Olivia? Can I call you Olivia?”

Olivia took a glance at her and didn’t respond.

Amelia looked at Olivia gently. “Emma was at fault for this matter. Although it did not cause serious consequences, her behavior is unacceptable. I will talk to her later. However, since you are okay and have already slapped her to vent your anger, can you forgive her?”

Every word she said was for Emma.

After listening, Olivia raised her eyes and fixed her gaze on Amelia.

She was lost when she was five years old and didn’t have a deep memory of her childhood. Many of her memories had been forgotten.

But there had always been a woman with a pair of beautiful eyes looking at her tenderly and telling her in the depths of her memories, “You are my favorite little princess.” Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Olivia knew that this was her mother.

Today, she finally saw those eyes that were exactly the same as those in the depths of her memory.

“But it’s a pity that the little princess that the owner of these eyes loved the most was no longer me,” said Olivia inwardly.
