Chapter 60
Alright.
Meanwhile, at Bayridge University, an anonymous post was causing quite a stir on the school’s forum, under the title “Exposing the Medical Department’s Sweetheart, The Sordid Tale of a Homewrecker and Sugar Babies.”
The post went viral in no time. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
It was filled with surreptitiously taken photos, showing Gwendolyn getting into numerous luxury cars. There were also photos of her kissing a “patient” at the hospital and hugging him. Both faces were clear, but Howard’s handsome features were particularly striking.
The anonymous poster continued their accusations, “During her internship, Gwendolyn used her position to seduce a wealthy married man. Above are the photos of the man, Howard. It’s common knowledge that Howard is married now.
Previously, she’s been entangled with many men. One night, after a class get–together, she got drunk and left with a stranger, keeping things ambiguous with medical student Scott. She’s living off scholarships while wearing designer labels.”
Scott himself came forward to testify, “Gwendolyn is a whore! She’s after my money, and then trying to climb the social ladder. When she wanted to dump me, she used her sugar daddy’s influence to bankrupt my family.”
The post exploded with tens of thousands of clicks and thousands of comments, prompting the university to take it very seriously.
Gwendolyn was summoned to the dean’s office.
Dean Mack looked at her with an inquisitive squint, “Gwendolyn, you’ve really outdone yourself this time. “It’s not just me you’ve gotta worry about. The big shots at the board and the hospital have already made up their minds. Take a look.”
Gwendolyn took the phone from him, her expression turning grave as she scrolled. through the forum post.
“I didn’t do any of this.” The intimate photos were misinterpreted, a matter of angles. How could she possibly have been involved with Mr. Chadwick while sober?
“The tech team verified the photos are real. The school is asking you to come back and explain everything, and you’re suspended from your internship.”
Mack spoke impatiently, “Now get out of here.”
“Mack, I…”
“Out. You’re tarnishing our hospital’s reputation.” His words stung.
Gwendolyn clenched her fists tightly and left the office. She checked her phone multiple

times, almost certain that Mamie was behind the post.
As luck would have it, there was Mamle, holding a box of her belongings, coming straight toward Gwendolyn, and purposely bumping into her.
“Gwendolyn, I’m down on my luck, and now so are you,” she sneered maliciously, “And I’ve got a little surprise for you. See that lady over there?”
She pointed to a sharp–featured, middle–aged woman at the end of the corridor.
With that, she dropped her box on the floor and began shouting in the busy hospital hallway.
“Everybody, come take a look. Here’s Dr. Gwendolyn, the one seducing married men. Better keep an eye on your husbands, or this young beauty will snatch them away, and you’ll have nowhere to cry.”
“Yeah. She’s got no morals.”
Polly, surrounded by a few interns, egged on the chaos, enjoying the spectacle.
“We can’t have her in our department. She’s blown up the Bayridge forum. She’s the other woman.”
“Fire her.”
They led the charge, and the onlookers started to join in the uproar. The middle–aged woman pushed Gwendolyn hard, “It’s vixens like you that ruin families. Homewrecker, you deserve to die.”
She viciously grabbed Gwendolyn’s hair, ready to slap her.
Gwendolyn, however, swiftly grabbed the woman’s wrist with a deft twist, gaining the upper hand. Just as she was about to shake off this frenzied lady, a familiar deep voice cut through the noise..
“Who the hell is calling my wife a homewrecker?” Not far off, a strikingly handsome man. sat in a wheelchair, his voice cold as ice.
Gwendolyn slowly turned, shock painting her features as she locked eyes with Howard.
For the first time since she knew Howard, she heard him swear.
