Chapter 62 A Punch
Chapter 62 A Punch
November 14th
"Any progress on calming the fuck down?" I asked as I handed Leo a cup of coffee over the back of the
sofa.
He had been sat there staring at the floor for a while now, his head in his hands.
"Not really," he replied gruffly.
"You're tense," I said resting my hands on his shoulders, "Are you absolutely sure you don't want to tell
me what's going on with the rogues? It might help."
"I am sure," he replied.
"Then what do you want to do?" I asked, "You can't just sit here wallowing for the rest of the day."
"I've got things to think about, Ella," he said.
"Things to stress over you mean," I replied, "Xander, Haden, rogues, your Dad-"
"I know," he interrupted, "You don't need to remind me."
I took my hands off his shoulders and wrapped them around his neck, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Alpha Xander is not causing any trouble at the moment," I began, "Haden isn't physically capable of
doing so, your Dad can suck my dick and I'm sure whatever is happening with the rogues is nothing
this pack can't handle."
He sighed and leant back to look up at me.
"I know what to do," he said, "I owe you a self-defence class don't I?"
I grinned, "Yes. You do."
"Come on them," he announced standing up, "Let's do it."
Ten minutes later we were out in the forest just beyond the house.
"Alright," he said, "Try to punch me."
"For real?" I asked.
He nodded and stood infront of me waiting.
"Okay..." I replied.
I clenched my fist before punching my fist forward.
He caught my hand, and twisted me around, bending my arm behind my back and shoved me face
forward into a tree.
"Jesus Christ, Leo!" I exclaimed.
"That was pathetic," he replied releasing me, "Try again but this time, throw your body weight into it to
add more force. And don't swing like a lunatic. You want it straight and powerful, okay?"
I nodded, adjusted my stance and before this time launching my self forward with my fist.
He dodged but this time he smiled.
"Better, better," he said, "But you need to be faster. You put your foot forward and hesitated. I saw it
coming a mile off."
I nodded again and jumped on the spot a little, pumping my self up.
"Don't hold back," he urged, "Give it all you've got, little one."
With that, I jabbed my fist forward at full speed and full force. I wasn't even expecting so it was no
surprise when Leo stumbled back, bringing his hand to his nose.
"Fuck," I cursed, "I am so sorry."
He let out a laugh as he blinked his eyes. They watered but there was no blood dripping from his nose.
"Perfect," he said, "Make sure you do it just like that."
"I can't believe I just punched you in the face," I said stepping up to him and grabbing his cheeks, "Are
you okay?"
"I'm fine," he replied, "I've been punched a lot harder than that in my time," he said. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
"Why would you tell me to do that?!" I asked, "And why did I listen?!"
"It's okay," he said taking my hands off his face and and squeezing them, "You didn't hurt me."
"Well I clearly don't punch hard enough then!" I exclaimed.
He grinned, "Come here," he said lifting me up and throwing me over his shoulder as I squealed.
"You punch like a badass," he replied, "Don't worry, a rogue wouldn't be able to take that."
My laughing suddenly stopped.
He put me on the ground and looked down confused.
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"What do you mean?'
"In case you end up fighting a rogue...for whatever reason," he said, his eyes darting from mine.
"...and is that likely?" I asked.
He forced a smile, "No."
I examined his face. It was unconvincing to say the least.
"Let me teach you something else," he said quickly changing the subject.
I paused before nodding, "Okay."
We spent hours rolling around on the forest floor.
However many times Leo reassured me that I was very unlikely to hurt him, I couldn't help be reluctant
to go as hard as I would on a filthy rogue threatening my life. Even though I had been incredibly mad at
him earlier on in the day, I couldn't fight the instinct to care about him and hitting and kicking him like he
instructed me to went directly against it.
"I'm exhausted," I said as I lay on amongst the leaves, panting heavily from just practising a choke hold
escape, "Leo junior is draining me of all my energy."
I then put my hand on my stomach and felt the little bump.
"We can't call it Leo junior," Leo senior laughed, reaching forward to feel my stomach too as he lay next
to me.
I smiled and let him place his hand under my shirt.
"Then what are we going to call him?" I asked.
Leo shrugged, "I don't know. We need to have a think. But first and foremost, you need a nap."
My eyes were dropping as I jawned.
"Can we nap right here?" I asked snuggling my head into the leaves.
"Nope," he said, "Come on. There's a soft warm bed waiting for you."
I let him pull me up and wipe the leaves off me.
As I was plucking a twig from his hair, I noticed how he was glancing around the forest.
But before I could question, he's encouraged me back towards the house and ushered me up stairs.
He then tucked me into bed and literally a few minutes later, I started to feel sleep overcome me.
