After the Divorce: From Heartbreak to Heiress Boss

Chapter 41

Chapter 41 His Own Medicine

Quentin's gaze lightly brushed over Leah's long, fair legs.

After just a moment, he retracted his gaze and retrieved the contract from his drawer.

"I asked someone to draft the contract for our collaboration. Take a look and see if there's anything you don't understand or wish to modify," Quentin said, extending the document towards Leah.

Leah, however, didn't bother to look at the contract Quentin was offering. Instead, she took her own prepared contract from her bag and tossed it towards him. "As it happens, I've also had a collaboration contract prepared. My terms are all laid out in the document. If you can accept them, we'll sign the contract. If not, let's just forget about it," Leah stated firmly.

She may have wanted to profit from the collaboration, but she was not willing to endure any form of injustice.

Quentin pursed his lips and gave Leah a meaningful look.

"Seriously?"

Leah shrugged. "What's wrong? Will you take a look or not? If not, just give me the contract back, and I'll find someone else to negotiate with."

Then, she reached out toward Quentin, intending to take the contract back.

Quentin had never known that Leah could be so irritating before.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

He frowned helplessly and took the contract away before she got it.

"I'll take a look."

Leah slowly took her hand back. "That's more like it."

Quentin didn't respond and then looked down at the regulations on the document carefully.

Seeing this, Leah said mockingly, "Are you reading it so carefully because you're afraid I might set traps for you? Don't worry. Since we're discussing cooperation, I won't resort to any underhanded tactics. There's no need to be so wary."

"Who knows?" Quentin responded with a sneer.

"If you distrust me so much, why bother cooperating with me? Are you out of your mind?" Leah retorted, rolling her eyes.

Quentin finished reviewing the document and signed it at the bottom.

"I want to ask you about that necklace I asked you to design before. Was it designed by Quintina?"

Leah couldn't help but feel a surge of

frustration as she thought about the origin of the name Quintina, especially when paired with Quentin's irritating face. Her eyes deepened with disdain, and

She

almost wore her displeasure openly on her face.

"No."

"And who designed it then?" Quentin probed once more. Leah coldly raised her chin. "I have no comment."

Quentin remembered his previous attempt to discover the identity of the designer at the banquet, where Leah had remained tight-lipped. However, she still refused to tell him the truth now.

Her current attitude only reinforced his intuition.

He believed that Quintina was indeed associated with Lia Jewellery, but Leah was keeping her identity a secret.

Nonetheless, Quentin remained

unperturbed. He figured that as the

collaboration between their studios progressed, he would eventually

uncover Quintina's true identity.

Leah glanced at Quentin's signature at the bottom of the contract, took the document, and put it in his bag.

Then, as if she had thought of something, she asked, "Why are you really interested in collaborating with me?"

Quentin simply glanced at Leah and didn't say anything.

Leah sneered and found his uncooperative attitude irritating.

"Are you planning to poach our studio's designer to join your company?"

Quentin remained silent, effectively confirming Leah's suspicions.

Seeing this, Leah couldn't help but let out a scornful laugh. "Haha..."

Quentin finally spoke, "What's so amusing?"

Leah rolled her eyes at him and didn't say anything.

After all the questions she had asked earlier, she believed it was time for Quentin to experience the same silent treatment.

Now, it was her turn to give him a taste of his own medicine.

Quentin asked in confusion, "Why aren't you saying anything? Is this question too difficult to answer?"
