Chapter 41: FAREWELLS
Chapter 41: FAREWELLS
AT DINNER
The whole Pandu family sat down for dinner and talked about the day when Bheem said, "mata now I
can eat your handmade ladoos every day when we go to Khandavprasth." Aadhya smiled getting a
idea and said, "bharata Bheem with lots of joy I have to inform you that mata's attention will be from
someone else from now on." To which Nakul said, "Aadhya you are right her attention will be on me as
I'm her favorite after all." Aadhya faked a laugh and said, "it's not you or me it's going to be someone
else." Finishing what she said Aadhya glanced at Draupadi.
Nakul seeing Aadhya glance at Draupadi said, "oh yes now that her daughter-in-law has come she will
only care about her." Aadhya looked at Nakul and said, "bharata Nakul you are wrong, there is
someone else." Bheem looked frustrated and said, "Aadhya don't talk in puzzles and tell us who you
are talking about." Aadhya giggled at Bheem's reaction and said, "well I think bhabhi should answer
your question." Hearing this everyone looked at Draupadi to hear what this is all about. Draupadi got
shy at the attention and said, "well the person to steal mata's attention will be coming in few months."
Hearing this the Pandavas smiled and everyone congratulated Yudhishtir and Draupadi and ate dinner
happily. Since no one was sleepy they all thought to recall their memories in Hastinapur. They all
laughed and enjoyed the sweet and sour memories they had in Hastinapur.
AADHYA'S CHAMBER
Aadhya was in her chamber looking at the moon with some thoughts when a maid came and asked,
"Rajkumari maha mahim Bhisma asks permission to enter" Aadhya got up and said, "let him come."
The maid went out to give the message. Bhisma entered and Aadhya said, "Pranipat pitamah, why
would you come you could have called me." Bhisma smiled hearing this and said, "I just wanted to
come here and tell you something important." Aadhya looked at him curiously and said, "what is it that
you want to talk pitamah?."
Bhisma looked at her a little sad and said, "putri I give you the task to always show your brothers the
right path in whatever they do as I know you will never let injustice happen." Hearing this the smile from
Aadhya's smile faded and she asked with teary eyes, "pitamah why are you saying this? You will be
there to guide all of us, then why?" Bhisma kept a hand on Aadhya's shoulder and said, "putri
sometimes the elder has to make sacrifices for the happiness of the family." Aadhya finally let the tears
flow and said, "for our rights, you gave up your freedom pitamah, why would you do that?" Bhishma
smiled and replied, "I did this so dharma could be established and in hope that there will be peace in
our family now."
Aadhya looked at Bhisma with the look saying I will not let your sacrifice go to waste and said, "pitamah
I promise I will try my best to guide them." Hearing this Bhisma kept his hand on Aadhya's head and
said, "I know that's why I came to you, now putri I shall take my leave as it is getting late and you guys
have a long day ahead." Aadhya nodded and said, "good night pitamah." Bhisma nodded and left.
Aadhya laid down on the bed thinking how Bhisma won't have peace till the end and slept feeling guilty
for her grandfather.
MORNING
After doing puja Aadhya went to Ganga, after praying and giving respects to mata Ganga Aadhya sat
there for a while in calmness. She was returning and saw Karna, thinking to talk she went towards him
and said, "pranipat angraj." Karna turned towards her and said, "pranipat rajkumari Aadhya." As they
were talking Aadhya saw some shadvi coming and saw Karna giving daan. Aadhya then starts to think
about how angraj is such a good human yet he takes the side of Shakuni and Duryodhan. She was in
thoughts when Karna said, "what are you thinking rajkumari Aadhya?" Aadhya smiles coming out of her
thoughts and replies, "just thinking about how nice of a person you are." Karna looks at her and said,
"well it's you who just realized that rajkumari."
Hearing this Aadhya lets out a laugh and said, "you are wrong about that angraj, I never thought of you
as a bad person, though we had differences in the past I have always respected you as a person and a
warrior, or else I wouldn't have accepted your challenge. Well, do you do this every day? giving daan?"
Karna smiled and replied with a short answer, "yes." Aadhya then said, "looks like you don't enjoy my
company, I shall take a leave." Aadhya was about to turn when Karna said, "it's not about disliking your
company, it's just guilt." Aadhya looked at him confused, Karna took that sign to continue and said, "I'm
sorry about the Varnavarth incident, I knew what was going to happen and didn't help I'm guilty about
that." Hearing this Aadhya smiled and said, "well it's all in the past, you are doing what you think is right NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
and we are doing what we think is right, but can I advise you something?"
Karna said, "yes you can rajkumari" Aadhya took a breath before saying, "a true friend always guides
their friend to the right path, not support them in their wrong. I want to tell you this as you are a good
human being, I just hope you don't live in the suffocation of things bharata Duryodhan does." Karna
smiled realizing that Aadhya is worried about him. Karna replied, "I will keep that in mind, and I
apologize about what happened in that past." Aadhya smiled her famous cheerful smile and said, "you
shouldn't apologize even I was wrong when I insulted you during the party. Plus you are elder than me
so no apology."
Karna chuckle and said, "we both said that to protect our precious people so forget about that, oh
shouldn't you be going? you have to leave for Khandavprasth." Aadhya realizes she is late and
hurriedly went to the horse and said, "thank you for reminding me I almost forgot!!! mata will shout at
me if I don't hurry pranipat angraj. We will meet each other sometime, have a great day." Saying this
Aadhya sat on the horse and went towards the palace. Karna just smiles at her reaction and went his
way.
Aadhya reaches the palace making her self ready to hear Kunti's concerned filled words when she met
Arjun, she went towards him and said, "bharata Arjun!!!! Won't you save me?" Knowing all well what
Aadhya meant Arjun said, "it's your fault to be late, where were you." Aadhya thought, "should I lie or
tell the truth, if I tell him about angraj will he be angry?" Deciding to just say half truth she said, "I was
at Ganga, praying respects to mata Ganga. So please save me. Mata will shout at me I'm scared."
Arjun sighed and said, "wow our fierce warrior is scared!" Aadhya looked at him annoyed and said,
"don't talk like you are not scared of mata, should I tell her? Anyways you helping me or not bharata?"
To which Arjun replied, "okay okay don't worry I will save you." As soon as Arjun said these words a
voice said, "no need to save her from me, and you Aadhya of course I will shout at you, do you know
how worried I was, even thought you know how to fight I still worry about you. You should learn to tell
me where you are going before you leave. I searched everywhere for you to learn that you are not
here." Aadhya looked down sadly and said, "sorry mata I didn't mean to worry you, I just lost track of
time while I was at Ganga, I will tell you from now on! So please forgive me." Kunti sighed in defeat and
said, "okay, now go get ready we are leaving."
Hearing this Aadhya smiled and said, "okay mata! I will get ready in few minutes." Aadhya rushed to
her chambers to get ready.
The Pandavas were standing in front of their palace entrance with other family members of Hastinapur
bidding them goodbye. After everyone took the blessings Ghandari said, "Kunti do visit me sometimes,
I will be missing you. Putro take care of yourselves." Kunti replied, "of course I will visit you jiji, you take
care of yourself as well." Ghandari nodded in reply. Vidur said, "Kunti and Putro do visit us sometime, I
and your Kakishree will always be here." They all smiled and Aadhya said, "how can we forget anyone
of you kakashree, we will always write you letters and visit you whenever we can."
Vidur smiled and Arjun said, "pitamah let's go now." Hearing this Aadhya puts a hand on Arjun's
shoulder and nodded a no and said, "We all should be going, take pitamah's blessings as well as he
won't come with us." Finishing what she said she gave an angry look to Shakuni knowing very well who
would have given such ideas. Shakuni looked at Aadhya's expression and pulled out his innocent
smile. Aadhya sighed and started to go towards the horse. The others followed her sadly knowing that
Bhisma won't be coming.
Draupadi seeing Aadhya ride the horse instead of joining Kunti and her, asked, "Aadhya why don't you
join I and mata in palkhi? Aadhya smiled and replied, "well I prefer horses." Draupadi went inside the
palkhi with Kunti and they all started their journey towards their new chapter of their life.
