Chapter 34 - Getting Love Struck Is A Real Thing!

I shrugged it all off with an easy smile.

"Is this the part where I find out you're a serial killer?" I asked leaning on the kitchen counter with a

smile on my face.

"Shana, you really have to stop watching horror movies." He smiled back.

"Now you're in danger." I shoved my finger in his chest.

"For your info, I'm the one with a knife." He smirked.

"And I'm the one with crazy imagination!" I replied.

"I'll give you that!" He chuckled. "Wanna help?"

"Sure! But I can't cut anything." I said acting cool.

"No, no cutting. I need a professional taster." He winked making me giggle. This mission really suited

me. I jumped on the counter watching him focused on cooking.

His muscles flexing while trying to make a spectacle. I suppressed most of my giggles. But clapped

every now and then when he would make the fire too big.

My mouth was watering but then he was finally done.

"Time for your job." He said smiling. Yay! I hopped down the counter. "First masterpiece, Prosciutto-

Wrapped Chicken."

Looked damn great. I took a bite and almost moaned. And here I thought dad made good food.

"Nine out of ten!" I announced.

"Why?"

"For the hell of it. The cook should be hot to take a full ten." I grinned.

He sighed. "Secondly, Eggplant Florentine with Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce and Toasted Ciabatta.

Hope you like it." He said holding the fork near my mouth.

I put it in my mouth. I loved it, especially that it was filled with cheese.

"Nine point two." I grinned.

"Now, why?" He said dramatically in an exasperated way.

"You're nice but not a ten yet."

"The next one will be a perfect ten. Don't you worry!" He smirked. Out of nowhere, his shirt flew to the

ground. He was hiding those abs?! How dare he? "Last one, Tomato Paprika Soup with Grilled Cheese

Sandwiches." He winked. I looked at the plate. He made them in hearts. I smiled.

"A perfect ten!" I clapped. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

"You didn't even try it." He smirked moving the plates to the table.

"I don't need to," I replied helping with the rest. He went to his room then with a shirt on. I almost made

a sad face.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Were you enjoying the view?"

"Well, to be honest, you're not Ed Sheeran charming so, good looks can do nothing with that

personality." I shrugged stuffing my mouth with all the delicious food.

"Ouch!" I giggled. I did much giggling today! What was wrong with me? "Did you just admit I have good

looks?"

"I don't know, did I?" I smirked. "But I do remember talking about a bad personality."

"Have you ever thought why a nice guy like me would have a 'bad' personality as you say?" He said

making air quotes with his hands.

"I know that actually, you like seeing me suffer, you can't be nice for a change." I shook my head.

He sighed. "Shana," He started leaving his fork and looking into my eyes leaning forward in his seat. "I

need to tell you something very important."

What was wrong with this mood now?

Wait a second?!

Was he going to tell me he liked me?

No!

Can't be right?

I mean this isn't a movie.

"Is it a do you like cats or dogs important?" I asked. When I get nervous, I try to be funny, though I am

not!

"I'm dead serious now." He said. Way to calm my nerves, dear Ron.

"You're just dead if you're going to make fun of my outfit again." I gave him a nervous smile.

"I like you like really a lot." He paused. Fuck! "I may treat you badly, but really it's because I like you

that I get on your nerves."

"Haha! I'm immune to cliche pranking." I said. Could I just leave or would it be weird?

"But what if I'm not joking around now? Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yeah, sure!" I said sarcastically.

Did you know why I was so afraid of getting close to someone?

Because of the fear of this moment coming.

Everyone I ever loved could be in danger. I even put Tommy in danger! I couldn't let Ron get hurt even

if I liked him too...

"I can prove it." He said getting out of his chair and towards me. What was happening exactly?

Before I could register, I was yanked out of my chair and onto the table. Our bodies close and my heart

beating like crazy. In this close proximity, I couldn't help but notice how his arms circled my waist, his

face. The golden-green eyes, the sprinkling of freckles across his nose and ginger red hair were to die

for.

But being this close to him, I couldn't help but notice for the first time just how lush his lips looked.

Thinking about his lips made my mouth dry, my throat closed and my breath heavy like I was running a

marathon.

I had to stop this before It became too late.

I reached my hands to push his chest away. But he caught them just before I could even touch him,

startling me. My eyes became wide as he yanked me to him and covered my mouth with his in a

hungry kiss.

Too late now!

I responded immediately, surprising myself. His mouth was so warm, the caress of his lips softer than I

could have imagined.

I was screwed!
