Chapter 592 My Heart Aches for My Lily
Chapter 592 My Heart Aches for My Lily
In the darkness, Lily heard John's voice, as gentle as usual, “Santa Claus will definitely give you the
gift.”
Lily knew he was coaxing her and closed her eyes to sleep.
In a daze, Lily felt sweaty all over and woke up from the heat. She felt some pain and wetness at her
lower body.
She struggled to reach down between her legs and felt hot liquid, so she woke John up immediately,
“John, my water just broke… call the doctor…”
John instantly woke up with a start and hurriedly went next door to call for a doctor.
There were doctors on duty these days, so when they heard the call, they immediately went to the
sterile room to change into surgical gowns and transferred Lily from the bedroom to the special delivery
room, and shut John out.
Five doctors accompanied Lily, extremely cautious, and they kept a close eye on her throughout.

John was walking around anxiously outside the delivery room.
When he thought of the miserable and painful face of Lily just now, his heart was like being gripped by
a hand, so hard that he couldn't breathe.
He had no religion, but at this moment, he began to pray to God, hoping that Lily would be safe and
sound.
The butler whispered, “Please calm down, sir. There are five doctors inside with Madam, she will be
fine. And you need to be with her after the birth, so you can't panic.”
John breathed deeply and tried to calm himself down, “I don't panic, I'm just a little scared. It's not easy
for a woman to give birth even by cesarean section, and my heart aches for my Lily.”
He then asked the butler, “Is five doctors enough? Should we bring in more?”
“That’s enough, sir,” the butler said, “A few more doctors to stay in there would be redundant, please
have some water and calm down.”
John took the glass of water from the butler and drank it all in one go. However, he still walked around
in front of the door of the delivery room and occasionally put his ear to the door, very nervous and
restless.
He stood right in front of the door for an hour and didn't go anywhere.
After a long wait, the door to the delivery room was finally pulled open and the nurse came out pushing
a trolley.
John immediately walked over and saw the three little babies wrapped in blankets, each with eyes still
closed.
“Sir, all three children are perfectly well, one boy and two girls.”
John only looked at the children for a moment before moving his eyes away and looking into the
delivery room, but he could not see anything.
“How’s my wife?”
The nurse said with a smile, “The doctor is stitching up her wound, don't you worry.”
After learning that Lily was also okay, John's heart finally fell relieved and a smile appeared on his face.
He was just about to ask the nurse to take the babies to the nursery when suddenly there was the
sound of gunfire from the living room.
Before he could react, there was another clear sound of gunfire in his ears, and then the butler
standing next to him fell down.
John caught a glimpse of a man in a night suit coming upstairs.
The man held a gun in his hand and came with deadly fury.
John immediately pushed the nurse into the delivery room along with the trolley and woefully rolled on
the floor as a bullet exploded right where he had just stayed.
He quickly fished out the compact anesthesia gun from his pocket and poked his head out, aiming at
the man's forehead.
The man just pulled the trigger but the anesthesia bullet went into his forehead. He then fell to the
ground almost instantly.
And the bullet he fired hit the wall.
Luckily John changed his position quickly, or his eyes would get shot.
John took two breaths and then took advantage of the few seconds to quickly climb out. He then asked
the doctor in the delivery room to block the door while fishing for the man's gun, but he found it had
only one bullet.
He dismantled the gun to prevent it from being picked up by the man's companion, rolled to the room
and then quickly pulled open the closet. There was a box under there. He opened it, and took out the
parts from it to assemble.
Because his hands were shaking, so the assembling was a little bit slow.
When taking Lily here, he only told a few people about this location. And since he secretly changed
places in the early morning, he did not expect such a covert location to be found by Jonathan.
Just as John assembled his weapon, the sound of chaotic footsteps came from outside.
He listened carefully and determined that there were five people outside, and there’s a subtle sound,
like something being thrown on the floor.
Smoke grenades!
John pinned another gun to his waist and pulled the trigger. He then quietly shifted to the barrier, and
his forehead seeped a layer of cold sweat.
Two smoke grenades were dropped into the bedroom.
In just two seconds, the bedroom was filled with a thick layer of white smoke and then someone
stepped in.
John determined these people’s location from the sound of the footsteps, and he could faintly see the
blurred black shadow in the smoke.
He pulled the trigger, fast and accurate.
Immediately after one man was shot, the direction where John located was immediately strafed.
Although he changed position quickly enough, his arm was still shot, and the fiery pain spread instantly
throughout his body.
One down, still another one to go. But the bedroom was not so big, so the other guy didn’t care where
John was, he just take the gun and sweep a circle in the direction.
John pounced on the guy after waiting for him to change magazines.
Then there was a loud muffled noise from next door and the screams of doctors, as if the delivery room
had been rammed open.
John was anxious and worried.
But the guy he was fighting was not an ordinary person. The guy was nearly one meter nine tall and
had the upper hand in the fight several times, knocking him out of the way.
“Help!” The screams from next door became more and more shrill.
John thought of Lily, who had just given birth, and the babies, and then slammed into the guy with all
his strength. After getting the chance to get away, he immediately fished a gun, aimed at the guy's
chest and pulled the trigger.
The guy’s hand dropped and a few drops of blood splattered onto John's face.
John gasped for two breaths, climbed up and hurriedly ran out, not daring to delay for a second. When
he found that the smoke in the corridor almost dissipated, he immediately raised his hand as soon as
seeing people.
Over the window, there was already a man standing up there, putting a safety rope down and holding a
child in his arms.
After he saw John, he grabbed the safety rope and jumped out.
John fired two shots in a row but missed. Damn! Fearing that there were still enemies in the delivery
room, he can’t chase the man and headed his way to the delivery room.
There were three other men in the delivery room, about to take the other babies. The doctor pleaded
them to leave at least one baby, or the mother would not be able to bear it.
That guy then heard gunshot when he was just about to shoot. His fellow holding the baby at his side
fell to the ground.
The doctor swooped down to catch the baby, so it did not fall to the ground.
The guy was standing next to the surgical bed, and when he saw that things were not right, he
immediately aimed the gun at Lily's forehead, forcing John not to dare to pull the trigger and to stare at
him with deadly eyes.
“Mr. Colbert, drop the gun,” the guy threatened, “or I’ll shoot her.”
“...”
John did not hesitate to remove the magazine and throw the gun to the center of the room.
The guy quickly raised his gun and shot towards John's left leg.
John let out a muffled sound and knelt down on one knee.
The guy commanded his other fellow, “Mr. Seles said to bring him back if he’s still alive, you go tie him
up.”
This situation looked favorable to them in any way, so the guy's fellow naturally put the baby aside and
took out handcuffs to ride on John's wrists.
John’s chest rose and fell slightly, allowing himself to calm down and think about where to start to kill
them. He had to make sure the guy's guns weren't pointed at Lily.
The guy’s gun was still against Lily’s forehead, but he was kinda saggy, and he was squinting at John’s
side.
Just then, the situation reversed.
A bullet silently entered the guy's forehead, exploding a blood splash. The guy then fell on his back
with his eyes wide open.
When the other guy realized something was wrong and turned around, John immediately grabbed his
hand and twisted it hard, lifting the knee and kicking him in the abdomen. After he fell to the ground,
John quickly pounced over and pressed his neck with the knee.
